Just bought 4.6m at 2 sat on mintpal. The coin seems ok to me so i'm happy with the buy . Very cheap.

I absolutely agree that everyone with a vested interest should build something for the community. It creates value for all of us..

that being said however.. we don't necessarily need infrastructure for this coin to be a success... the P2p payment infrastructure is already there so we just need to get more creative...

did you guys see the story about that teenager in the US who held up a bitcoin sign at the super bowl and got $20,000 worth of BTC donations?

all we need is a good news story like that... if some guy (or girl)  makes a bucket load of karma donations for posting a video on youtube where they have done something truly great to help others.. then this could go viral.

personally I would love to see people posting videos on youtube about the latest project they are working on with a donate address on it... I certainly plan to make some of my own videos, although i'm not a hero lol... I think KarmaCoin would be a great learning experience for kids and an excellent fund raiser to boot (a lot better than going door to door to sell chocolate bars)...

I'd also like to see KarmaCoin get involved in places like Ukraine and Syria at some point too.. not as a force to help fund rebellions but more as a way of helping families and children to get food and medicine.

Another great idea would be microfunding to help the poorest people in the world start up new businesses (similar to microlending)

all of these things will help grow the value of KarmaCoin and also directly impact on peoples lives in a positive way...

just some thoughts and ideas I have for the future.... and I'm not even part of the founders.. just some guy who is interested in the idea of a currency/payment system based on altruism.

after all why does bill gates have to be the only billionaire who spends most of his time giving his money away while still managing to make more each year than he can give out.
with Karma Coin we can all be Karma coin millionaires at least.. even if 1 Karma is currently only worth a fraction of a cent.

Doing good is old fashion... Not many left on this planet to do so.  

Doing fun, doing silly, doing weird etc. brings more attention then doing good. KARMA won't succeed unless it is profitable so better get your asses organized and start promoting, pumping whatever keeps it alive!

well that sucks for me.. I just transferred some money into coinmarket just before it crashed on the weekend... now I cant buy cheap Karms lol

Yes but what if it doesn't recover? We need services for this coin, and more important, we need to advertise it. Everyone must make something for the community if we want it to succeed.

coinmarket should be coming back monday morning US time.

almost every coin is down at the moment not just Karma... even Litecoin which has held is value quite well for months is starting to lose ground.

when there is so much uncertainty, those people who are risk averse try to move their money to safer places... and in the case of cryptos, on most exchanges, the only way out is through Bitcoin.

right now there are lots of those kinds of people trying to get out of bitcoin and back into fiat... but there are even more people trying to get out of altcoins and into bitcoin so the bitcoin price is going up relative.

i hope Karpeles gets put in jail soon so we can all move on from this Mt Gox thing..

We really need either coinmarket to come back up or coinwarz to updated our prefered exchange to mintpal, we are currently second most profitable coin to mine and that is at coinmarkets broken price, if coinwarz got updated difficulty would go back up and people would start buying, at the moment it just looks like everyone has forgot about us even though we are top of the board
