As someone with years of marketing experience working for the biggest ad agency in the world, I would suggest staying away from symbolism like a dharma wheel.
A white elephant outline is neutral, and would work much better (as a brand) than something that means different things to different people (and would cause many others to become indifferent to Karmacoin).
i.e., come up with something new. The elephant is good. Just make it outstanding and emotionally appealing.
The simpler the logo the better. If I was to design it, I would do something completely different. A blue and red logo like the old Pepsi logo but leaning towards a horizontal yin-yang and getting rid of the dots. Also, there's no need to put "Karmacoin" on the logo. (Such is the sign of an amateur.) The text can go next to it, on the right side.
This makes for a familiar symbol but still something new. Think big picture and long term. As in, what symbol would make a 9 year-old in the Kenyan highlands smile when they see it just as well as an adult in Shoreditch?
Nevermind what you like. The question is, what would most of your potential users like?
A good logo could mean the difference between success and failure of a company (or coin). (But again, it's not what you think is good...)

i really like how the central font is raised on this one... though I would probably try to make the font around the edges appear to be stamped into the coin rather than sticking out.
the yinyang one is too much of a mixed message since Yin Yang has very little to do with Karma (they are ideas from competing philosophical schools)
I still like the idea of having an elephant on the coin too for whats its worth (maybe have two sides of a coin?)
how about "doing good is good" and some binary "01001011 001000001 01010010 01001101 001000001" (binary for KARMA) around the edges?...

What's the relation with that elephant in the logo and Karma coin...? It would be better if we get rid of that elephant from the logo... the 'aum' symbol logo is also bad, making the coin religious.... Think of something else..
Karma itself is a religious belief friend - it is already a religious coin to that extent. A Dharma wheel would be much more appropriate and is already circular so could be an excellent, distinctive logo - one I cannot believe hasn't been done yet. Dharma also works perfectly with the 'Doing Good is Good' slogan (a poor one tbh).
It makes no sense to call a coin "karma coin" and then try and avoid the religious symbolism that goes with that concept. It would be like creating 'Allah coin' and then refusing to have anything relating to Allah on the coin because it 'makes it religious'.

For synchronizing:
First backup wallet and save it on desktop for instance, to be easily to find .dat file,
then delete folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Karmacoin <-- this is old.
And then start the new Karmacoin .exe, it will make new folder on the indicated address above.
Replace wallet.dat with backup wallet file, change the name of backup to wallet.dat if necessarily.
Then start again karmacoin wallet.

you need to go into: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/ where username is your username for your computer and find the karmacoin folder. Then make a backup of your wallet.dat file that is in there. Once you backed up the wallet.dat file delete the whole folder, then relaunch the wallet, this will recreate the folder with a new wallet.dat. Then close the wallet and go back into that folder and put your backed up wallet.dat file back in it. Relaunch the wallet again and the blockchain should redownload and your coins will start coming back as the wallet syncs with the blockchain.
