Look , if you don't understand crypto world , than you are wrong In cryptocurrencies!
It's all about money ! And I found Komodo in time ,
I make a bet with you too, 5 € till 31.12.2017
OK, I will accept your bet. Since you understand in crypto so much I am sure you will be able to bet 2000KMD with me.

I would ask any member of this team to step up and grant us a bet for a total of 4000KMD with 5% escrow fee payable on 01/01/2018.

I will publicly transfer 2000KMD to escrow's address, and if on 12/31/17 at 24.00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)(New Year, GMT) Komodo's price is more then, or equivalent to 5 euro will accept the lose.

did this actually happened?
unfortunately you lost the bat Danzing :-(

no need to shill...
who are you anyways lol, prob one of the segwet lurkers following me around  Cheesy

when a coin is doing cool stuff like,
barterdex, BCH atomic swaps....komodo will earn its value  Cool
1. Komodo would benefit all those hot money exiting BCH right now. I believe BarterDEX is one of the top 5 DEX'es that will gain exposure and popularity in 2018.
2. I commented on this thread - inquiring on BaterDEX Atomic Swaps and API , weeks before I have seen your brainwashed figure on Bitcoin Cash thread. Your exacerbated self-esteem proves once again what a distorted perception of world you have.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

jl777B,
Is it possible to connect BarterDEX API into CMC?
It would add to brand recognition and might spur interest from those looking to trade without KYC, IMO.
BTW, is BarterDEX a trustless setup?

Depends on the context of trustless .  The BarterDEX protocol itself is trustless in the sense there is no middleman between traders such as a central exchange or central blockchain.  However it is possible for a side to back out of a trade.  They are greatly discouraged from doing so through deposit,  which is awarded to the injured party when in the rare circumstance a trade would go awry.

It would be a Pyrrhic victory for the backing out party.  Yes they could thwart your trade, but it would cost them well beyond any gain they would have and you would come out with even more coin.

This is just my understanding of the system.

Well written, polycryptoblog. A very nice understanding of BarterDEX indeed.

I am still learning about swaps and BartDEX. Do I have to deposit some coins as a escrow before trade?

You'll have to deposit which ever coins you want to "barter" with Smiley .

I have a question about atomic swaps. I can't figure How are prices/value determined between client nodes, with no centralized exchange? I'm assuming there is an independent "Ask" for a certain allotment of a coin, and the buying client node decides if that is worth the trade or not. I have read all I found about swaps but this was not explained.

Hey, I've tried figuring out how the BarterDEX swap looks like from inside the networks. The whitepaper defines some words of what goes on, but I couldn't find anything more specific on how those "temporary holding wallet"s work on a bitcoin network (for example).

Quote
She does not send the payment to Bob directly, but rather into a temporary holding wallet on the BarterDEX exchange
i. Only Bob has access to this wallet, via the set of privkeys that only he owns.
ii. However, the BarterDEX code does not yet allow Bob to unlock this temporary holding wallet; he must continue his end of the bargain first.
iii. The will remain in Bob’s temporary holding wallet for a limited amount of time, giving him the opportunity to proceed.

Looks like some kind of HTLC too me, but no mention of it.
Can anyone help me clarifying this part?

Is there a new date for the monaize ICO yet? And great work on the KMD.

No not yet, They are going to communicate at least 2 weeks prior to the dICO, but that is the only available confimed information for now.
