It is so sad, truly.
Agreed and understood!
I think Libertycoin devs, even with all their inexperience about managing a coin and investment vehicle of this proportion , are trying to do some damage control and getting the faith back of the community. Its probably wise to be a bit more patient, wait and watch.
On hindsight its important to understand the price rise.
The price rose because Christopher Bouzy used his friends and followers to pump the price up, based on purely promotional activities but not on the back of actual product development. Vericoin with its super efficient devs is still trading under 1K because there is no erroneous pump going on. So in hindsight, this might be correct price and from here on, is upto the community to build REAL infrastructure and drive demand (hence prices) up in a genuine way.
I've just returned from a quiet evening away from the turmoil that is cryptoland.
I have boldened and underlined two statements you made, both of which relate to marketting and how a product is advertised and received, because it's important people understand this as it applies directly to both this coin and many, many others.
The first statement says "they don't know what they are doing". It also says "they are out of their depth".
The second statement is why the split occurred. IE - and I am not defending him here - was brought in for PR and advertising, not coding. He is a marketer, not a developer. It is his JOB to spread the word, get people interested, raise awareness, push up the value of the product. This isn't pumping to dump, this is marketing to gain market capital and push a business forward. To complain that a marketter only focusses on promotional activities is bizarre.
I am not attacking you personally for saying those things, but I don't think you realise the full impact of the first statement or the irrational nature of the second.
I feel compelled to repost this, as it has been lsot in all the up-talking about Libertycoin.
If you are still confident in Libertycoin, please post
real evidence for your belief and not just pages of hype and up-talk.
Facts please, not "it will be ready next week" "just you wait and see!!!!!" stuff. Not "we have something really big in store" "the devs have got something huge!!!!" etc. this is hype, not evidence, this is below-amateurish marketing, not damage limitation and progress.
I am genuinely interested in why people still support Libertycoin despite all that has happened.
If evidence can be provided, maybe people would have a little faith in Libertycoin. Without it, the project is irretrievably poisoned and dead.
If you want to save Libertycoin, put some serious effort into the damage limitation.
If you cannot grasp what I am saying, then you only have yourselves to blame.
Oh, and FYI, Libertycoin has posted in the Scam thread complaining that someone scammed Libertycoin!
