X11 is perfect for shitcoin, it is only a senseless mix of hash functions. ;-)
No it's not, use a algo thats already lost or no one cares about, like scrypt or blake256 (no matter how much I like blake256, its dead)
X11 mix other hash function with no real motivation. No cryptografic motivation or alghoritmic motivation. The result is simply a new hash function with no special features.
I think lower heat and power consumption is a special feature... True its not limited to this algo tho, groestl and heavy coin pretty efficient as well.
