Lisk could be 'flawless' but then you're left with the question of: "DO WE REALLY NEED THIS''.

What's the added value, really? Do we need it? Is it powerful enough? Is the team adaptive/expert enough to turn Lisk into the top dog over Ethereum? My answer is no. Lisk is not future-proof. It is obsolete.

Vidale,

You are 100% wrong about Lisk.

Lisk's disruptive design of allowing mainstream developers to easily deploy their JavaScript Apps using Lisk SDK on Sidechains, is far more scalable and will see far more adoption than Ethereum.

On Ethereum; App developers are forced to learn Solidity and they must build multiple smart contracts, then connect them together just build a Dapp. This is a huge burden for Dapp development among mainstream developpers, that's why Ethereum failed to produce more than a dozen working Dapps and it continues to remain in the test labs of well funded or bank backed experiments like R3CEV.

DO WE NEED LISK?

YES! Absolutely;
Lisk is clearly the best chance to introduce mainstream App developers to Blockchain technology, the entire crypto-sphere should be rooting for Lisk.

Ethereum's steep learning curve and painstaking process of building smart contracts & dapps, still fails to attract mainstream App developers to build Dapps.

Within next few months, Lisk App store will boast far more Dapps than Ethereum, then people will realize the disruptive magnitude of Lisk.

That's what I said. Vidale is one of them:

Be careful at these prices guys, could go either way, my bet is that the whales wants to push it lower still.

Yeah, this trap is quite obvious.

Let's see how many fools will come back here with FUD, trying to justify their messes.

I am not very surprised about this development. It is similar to the Ethereum development after the release. Wait a couple of weeks then the price found the buttom because everyone who wanted to make quick gain has sold and mostly serious investors remain. Keep in mind the the market cap of Ethereum was a couple of month around 50 million and even below sometimes. Then it started its way to the 1 billion mark.

Price down to $0,33. Looks like more and more weak hands are bailing. Not a bad decision if you've bought under the current price or invested in the ICO, but not a brilliant one either considering the roadmap ahead. Conference tomorrow in Berlin might further construct the foundation for a successfull and widely adopted Lisk ... !

Those who were buying Bitcoin when it dipped below $200 are certainly celebrating right now.

I am interested in supporting such a node ( I own a relatively large amount of lisks- top 40)- but dont have time to read the handbook these days and thus I am not familiar with what it means to support a node etc. / vote / earn from it etc.
Your model of supporting the eco systme sounds great. Can you or someone give a review in a nutshell. thanks
A lot of us who are hoping to be a delegate are planning to do something like this.
There were extensive talks and brainstorming sessions about this issue, in the last month or so but nothing is settled yet.
The goal would be to support Lisk development itself down the road, when ICO funds are running low while also funding  and providing outher support for various blockchain app projects and proposals.

As I said ideas have been discussed and plans drafted, but nothing is finalized yet. I think most serious delegates will pledge some money for one cause or another. As things stand now, there is a good change that much less forged amount will be simply dumped on exchanges every month than you'd think.

Some may choose to decide on a case by case bases what project to support while others will donate to some entity who will manage these affairs. We'll see, interesting times ahead.

Antifragile
This article: https://steemit.com/lisk/@dan/why-lisk-is-inferior-to-ethereum

...was very attacking against Lisk but was changed fundamentally in the last 24 hours. The topic has changed to "Steem as a Smart Contract Platform" (before it was: "Why Lisk is inferior to Ethereum"), there is no single word left about Ethereum and the attacks against Lisk were mitigated. What is left is PR for Steem but nothing special.

Anybody any idea why it was changed that extreme?

Nice catch!  Pretty clear the guys was getting slack from lots of people, what a LOL.

I mentioned it before, it came across as a sort of hit piece, at least in how he presented the information. I mean just the first reply to the article was a great one and no where mentioned in the article. Really one sided.

VERY NICHE Smiley!

Price is going up slowly

LISK has more Volume (24h) than DAO!!! Shocked

   -LISK:$ 1,454,260
       -DAO:$ 1,290,310

LISK has no KRAKEN at the moment, and only 1/5 of the market cap. BUT has more VOLUME(24)!!!
AWESOME Grin

Many traders look at the Volume (24h), it's a good sign that the trading Volume is still very high!

Very interesting. I can see on Poloniex that LISK has 2X the volume as well.

All this said, The DAO is a different animal. Theoretically, once the first few projects come out, then we should see how speculation kicks in.
LISK has a fairly clear road map relative to the DAO.

I feel sorry for you guys. The ones that are still stuck here. Sure, the price might gain another 20% over time. But don't hope for moon. Moon is too far out for this project.

This topic was filled with complete idiots during the ICO. Guys like ''Iambitcoin5'' and other fucknuts who hop from one ICO to the other and are now hyping up WAVE instead.

This coin has been hyped, it's shit, you never hear from the actual developers. Barely any public appearances. Meanwhile volume is drying up to the level of other shitcoins.

Just sell already. Sit on a portfolio of ETH + bitcoin. Ignore everything else if you want what's best for you.

All posts in this thread, alls posts silly FUD-attempts.

Not very hard to come to correct conclusions about your paltry intentions. ;-)

Head in the sand.

Aha, then... Give us some insights into your intentions:

1. Is this your first account?
2. If yes, are you new to Crypto?
3. If no, why did you make a new one and what's your other account?
4. Why do you write only about Lisk?

1. Yes
2. No
3. -
4. I am a stakeholder in just a few projects: BTC, ETH and LISK. I have no reason to partake in any other discussions that I am not invested in, especially not on this weird-ass forum that's ridden with third-world country scammers. I don't discuss ETH or BTC, I consider them proven projects. Their challenges and potentials are known to everyone. That leaves LISK. As a proposed ''Ethereum killer/counterpart" but without anything substantial to back that claim, I saw the chance for a quick and hefty post-ICO profit, but absolutely nothing long-term. So far I'm right on track, the rest of you aren't. The proof is in the pudding.

There are simply too many people here who fail to realise that we're in a dotcom bubble 2.0. 99% of the crypto projects will fail spectacularly. One day, the realisation will hit that no one really gives a shit about decentralisation yet. There will be but a handful of winners, with actual utility or as proven stores of value. I'm sorry, but Lisk is not one of them. It is too ambiguous, the team seems amateurish at best. If all you have to go by is wishful thinking or empty arguments  akin to 'javascript reaches millions of developers' then please re-consider if you should treat LISK as a short or long term project for your own finances.

Stakeholder, lol.
You look so stupid with your posts, even you try to look smart.
Nobody who really hold lisk, will post such bs.

You missed the train and you are scared. Because lisk can beat any project.

I've read every single post of Vidale and as a Lisk holder; he has a point.

There is no 1 person here who is arguing on his level by using good arguments and points. What he actually sees is a one big wall of fud and misunderstanding.
And what I miss here, are people who can explain why Lisk will be the next good project without screaming ; you've missed the ICO.

So let's try again folks and discuss with each other with arguments.

Dont need to post this bs from another account.
This already been discussed alot of times, if you want to know go google and you will get the answer.

This is exactly what I mean..

As written in my proposal http://forum.lisk.io/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54&hilit=cc001 I want to spend some of my funds for interesting and promising Lisk projects/apps/faucets/.... Please let me know in PM if you run such a project and if you are interested in getting some regular delegate funds from me to run or develop it. I want to actively support the Lisk ecosystem with my delegate income. And please vote for delegate cc001 if you want to support Lisk and a delegate node that is active already since the beginning and has proven to be very reliable, stable and secure
