what will Lisk's currency identity be, LSK?

i'm less good with LIK.

LISK most likely.

Yep, LISK. Sometimes an exchange only allows 3 symbols, then it's LSK.

it would look more professional with a X in the front for international currency (like crypti did).
But XLK or XSK or something is a little cheesy as well... its a hard decision...

A few important things for now:

General:

- We currently plan to launch on the 11th April. This is not the exact date, just an estimate.
- At launch we will provide a client to access your LISK.
- All support enquiries please via our support center!
- I will update the BTT OP this evening with all important information.

ICO:

- The given BTC amount on our website is an estimation. Some transactions were after the time limit, so they will be refunded. The collect amount is more like 14,009 BTC.
- We will release the exact ICO numbers (total collected, satoshi price, number of participants, number of exchanges etc..) end of this week. It takes a few days to confirm every transaction by hand.
- We will also provide a list with all exchange IDs, the generated LISK address and its balance next week. So you can see if you are included.
- I will talk with Oliver and our advisers about what we do with Lin's XCR deposit. We don't want to make a crude statement.

Lisk Trading:

- Please don't buy any LISK in this forum. The owner can reset the passphrases by simply open a ticket on our support center and provide us with his email address and exchange ID. We check the data and if all is good, we will reset the passphrases.

Passphrases/keys:

- You have time to generate your passphrases until the 4th April! We will also provide a tool this week to validate if your saved passphrase is correct or not.
- If you lost the passphrases please send us a ticket on http://support.lisk.io/.
- We will provide a video and detailed instructions on how to generate your passphrases this week.
- Everyone who generated a key and lost it, will also loose access to his LISK.
- Everyone who didn't generate a key will be contacted 1-2 weeks after launch. He can then get his LISK via email. This method is not the most secure option, therefore please generate your passphrases ASAP! Also there will be a deadline after which the non-collected LISK will go into the bounty fund.

Bounties:

- We will provide exact bounty numbers next week.

That guy (or maybe a girl) that put 1k btc now has around 5 000 000 lisk. If lisk will be only one dollar soon...

Yeah but he/she risked around $400.000 first.. and that is not a small amount :-)

Now that the ICO is over, can we focus on making Lisk a success?

Clearly the success of Lisk depends on the success of Lisk DAPP store.

Currently Ethereum dapp directory (http://dapps.ethercasts.com) has ONLY 34 LIVE Ethereum Dapps, so Lisk can certainly surpass that number of dapps within this summer, if we promote Lisk heavily to Javascript developers outside crypto world, through contests with serious monetary prizes.

I found most Ethereum dapps too specicific to crypto world so I prepared a list of sites using Javascript in real world applications, all for your inspiration:

I have been inspired by your post.  Some Googling has led me to a list of 10,000 (OK, really only 9,772) self described JavaScript geek programmers.  With their Twitter addresses.  Stand by for the spreadsheet, which may take a while.  It takes some time to organize a name list of 10,000 people.  Then stand by for a twitter blast in the days / weeks to come.

Funny, I couldn't find a similar list of 10,000 Etherium Solidity programmers.

I swear to God, I am going to have such fun when I start posting over on the Ethereum forums in April when I get back from my vacation next week.  Cheesy

touch those node.js devs as well. great idea!

Is Oliver German?

Oliver is British.

I thought so. The 'Deutschland zusammen' comment seemed uninformed.

Max - Here's some conferences where a Lisk presentation would be of interest.

http://jsconf.com/

And a JavaScript email newsletter with close to 100,000 subscribers - you really need to get an interview in that!

http://javascriptweekly.com/

It's run by Pete Cooper - you REALLY need to talk to / get interviewed by this guy...

https://twitter.com/peterc

Oliver lives literally only 100 miles from Pete Cooper....

And Pete Cooper also runs a Bitcoin newsletter....

No.

LISK Should be totally against putting LISk on BTER.

We can't do anything against exchanges adding us. However, some exchanges will be listed on our website and others not. Smiley

Thanks for replying, yes I know we cannot do anything against them adding LISK, but not mentioning them on official LISK pages would be a good idea.

Cheers! and good luck guys!  Cool

Tell you what, I'll offer 1 LISK for .01 BTC. let the offers come in!  Kiss

I will sell you 100 Smiley

You misunderstood, I am selling 1 Lisk for .01 BTC, who wants some?  Kiss

I'll take those off your hands for 2000 satoshis/lisk.  This is quite generous considering how nightmarishly awful the dump is going to be.

still at it?  Grin

Everything I've witnessed so far in the LISK ICO has been handled very professionally. Now, the ethical character that is baked into this ecosystem's earliest days will resonate for a long time, so please reflect on the 'Why?' of pushing non-collected LISK into a bounty fund.

I submit that you should not impose a deadline on the non-collected funds. Devs have a fiduciary responsibility not to re-appropriate unclaimed funds, which is somehow incomprehensibly becoming an accepted practice in ICOs (not mentioning any names but you know who you are). It is absolutely unethical to expropriate your earliest supporters' money, no matter what the situation. Yes, ostensibly they are donors, but effectively they are behaving like investors. If they can't or won't claim the LISK, please just leave the claim period open ended, and fulfill the incoming claims once a month. In this way, we will turn more and more people who are late on claims into supporters and proponents of the LISK platform, rather than feeding them sour grapes because their unclaimed LISK was expropriated. Fund seizure is equivalent to the fiat banking practices from which we are trying to escape.

(You could also destroy the unclaimed LISK and refund the BTC back to the return address, but ethically that's probably too much to ask).

Just think it through. People sometimes forget, or they find themselves in situations that make claims very delayed or seemingly impossible. That's just human nature. Blockchains don't forget, and that strength should be used as a benefit for everyone. Humans should not intervene and confiscate future wealth that is growing on the blockchain. Thanks for listening.

This is a very thoughtful post - something of a rarity on this thread.   Thanks for your input.

Lin may very well never return this Crypti, and BTER customers may be out of luck.  Other Crypti donors may hear about the Lisk ICO for the first time from upcoming publicity.  Maybe a possibility is to keep the 2.5M BTER Crypti open as a first-come-first-served exchange pool for tardy Crypti owners whether their excuse is BTER or ignorance of the Lisk ICO.  Service these people until the 2.5M is gone.

There's no good answer, and I suspect that the 1000 people who haven't generated their keys will turn out to be an even bigger headache.

The party's over, time to clean up the mess left behind....

what will happen if some have still failed to generate their keys in time?

personally i think anyone on the inside of the Lisk project should have their passport suspended until after the coin goes to market. LOL.
