Decentralized Application Platform
Max, is there any way to calculate growth rate of LISK blockchain size in MB? In a year, 2 years.

Thanks

You could take the blockchain growth (in MB) of the last months and project it to the following months with a probable growth rate (of users = more transactions) calculated in.

However, the user growth rate is incredible hard to predict. Especially, with the SDK coming this year.

Let's not get too stupid here...
Obtaining Swiss Nonprofit status ensures 100% goes into development of the entire project.
Where? People don't see this development.
In the repo ofc?

The financial report was also just recently published

People are talking about the long term when they just don't want to work very well now.
Only in shitcoins talking about long term. So they soothe people to have time to sell premine or obtained coins from mining, forging for a good price. Successful projects from the very beginning show excellent results and fruitful work. The results of Lisk developers and Lisk delegates are visible on its price, Lisk price only dump.
long-term project is the colonization of Mars or building bases on the Moon.

Why Lisk has a small community? Only 5000-6000 Lisk wallets.
Why delegates are not conducive to the growth of the community? You can pay a Lisk bounty for the promotion in social networks or YouTube.
When SDK stabilization and version 0.6.0?
Why not to hire more developers and work faster?
Chandler Guo, Barry Silbert, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss invested in Lisk? Who of famous people invested in Lisk?

Where is the fire in eyes and the desire to make this project the best in the world cryptocurrency ?  Cool

Or you want to become the same shit as the Bitshares?

Is Lisk worth it? I'm considering getting back into it, do you think it could ever hit 100k satoshis again?

Here you go.

Regarding Inflation of Lisk compared to Ethereum:

But ETH price = 0.01 btc, LSK price = 0.00016 btc. Why? Why Lisk price is the same as that of shitcoins? It may even be stable at 50k 100k 150k

ETH is real deal, but LSK looks like a copycat, it is crypti clone, no innovation at all. It was overhyped.

"and 12,000 Bitcoin to work with now"
These bitcoins don't go to the development of the project. They have no effect on the development of the project and the price increase.

With the registration of the entity complete, we now open our funds for public inspection. Before the end of 2016, the Lisk Foundation controls the following assets for on-going operations and long-term storage:

- 12,293.93186454 BTC
- 4,420,068.17533416 LSK
- 17,377,989,853,045 bytes

Additionally, it holds the following assets for bounties and advisers:

- 3,926,049.87211678 LSK (Bounty Balance)
- 771,745.97898046 LSK (Adviser Balance)
Source: Lisk Financal Report 2016

This money is enough to run Lisk for years, easily. And even if this money is gone (maybe in 5 years), we have the Community Fund, which already collected ~141k LSK in one month and will be ~7 Million LSK in 5 years (12k LSK per month), then we still have enough money to run Lisk. So, everyone who thinks, Lisk will be gone in one or two years: Nope. Just a big nope.

What are your LSK predictions for 2017?

Yes, I highly doubt this lisk will be abandoned like crypti within 2-3 years. When max blows all of his bitcoin. Ethereum will exist long term, but lisk? I doubt it will exist long term too

IMAGE EDIT
^as if this whole project won't be rekt in a year or two!  Cheesy

This is just the beginning for lisk, but looking more and more like a rocky road ahead for Ethereum. I look for both to be around in a couple years, but a transition or migration to Lisk may eventually affect Ethereum simply because of the bloat-chain system. That will be their nemesis long-term. What dev or user wants to download a 200+ gig chain just to run an app on untested new languages?
The popularity of Javascript also makes Lisk an easy choice for most devs. Lisk just obtained Swiss Nonprofit status, which means that every dime earned will go into developing lisk, and 12,000 Bitcoin to work with now; a community fund which is already growing for long-term development funding beyond the ico funds... not to mention scoring some "triggers" from the new sidechain "Blocksafe" smart-gun security system, or the new sdk devteam about to hit the scene.
I look for 2017 to be Lisk's year to seriously develop into a powerful platform and begin to flourish.

In Summary // TL;DR
Lisk has all of the technical infrastructure to be a decentralized ecosystem. The current voting system and the voting weight held by the Lisk Foundation and it’s core members would appear to create a form of centralization that I do see as a possible problem in the future. If the Lisk Foundation avoids voting as an entity, or better yet, avoids having the entity itself hold any Lisk, any semblance of centralization could be avoided.
As it stands now, I still believe Lisk can succeed but it will require that the Lisk team 100% buy-in to the DPoS system and allow it to play out without their influence on the politics of the delegation. Exerting too much influence, like voting in employees to compensate for salaries, will create a situation that could be the downfall of Lisk over the long term.
Keep in mind that this is all opinion and is a look at several possible future scenarios that have not yet come to pass. While this article takes a somewhat negative or critical look at the current situation, Max, Oliver, and the entire Lisk Foundation have so far done a great job of staying as neutral as possible while still voting their conscience with their personal holdings as is their right.
The most important thing to remember is that every person here has a voice. If you don’t like the way something works, if you see something you think is shady, or if you feel like something could be better, speak up. Propose a solution. Lisk is still in the early stages of development and by working together to analyze and address these types of ideas, we can make the entire network stronger!
