Isn't it possible to just import old private key in new wallet to get new public key? Huh

That should be possible. The private keys do not change. When you import your private keys, you get a new public key, for your old private key.  Wink

I see. Thanks. Smiley

Ok, I'm still on 15.02 from before the address change. I'm currently mining on yiimp.eu to my address.
If I now update my wallet, my public address will be changed to the new format, but will I still receive the coins from mining?

Is there anything else I have to keep in mind when upgrading?

hmm, that is a big question yet to be responded, i read the news yesterday too, but still have doubts what to do,
for now i think  i will leave my old wallet as it was and get a new wallet on Electrum to use from now

unless there comes an update from devs to clear the fog.
but as btx had got my biggest invest, i still support the project to see if it can goes back to January 2018  Sad

What is this?
Freiexchange.com looks a strange one.
Has it had secured, stable, reliable platforms for traders?
BitCore is a good project, which experienced long journey to reach current posistion in crypto world.
Therefore, I think BitCore team should only ask for listing the coin on big exchanges.

wait!. what did I miss?  Do I have to update the wallet? I'm from client bitcore v0.14.1.6-g814d134 (32-bit)

It depends on how you want to receive the coins;
If you generate a new address on your wallet, use the converter to convert to old style address and send the coins.
If you reuse an old address that was already in your wallet before you upgraded, you can still send the coins there and they will show up

this seems a nice update, keeping wallet in sync was a real paid in *
i really like this update, but before moving there, will i be able to move coins between new public addresses and exchanges?
or we have o wait for them make changes?
At the moment, no pool and no stock exchange accept new addresses. Therefore, if you do not plan to sell your BTX in the near future, then translate them to a new address. How to do this in detail writed Kryptowerk in this message: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.41575448

You have two options:
A) Download the latest wallet 0.15.1.0 and follow the steps we mentioned in the previous posts. Then send to Electrum.
B) Use our converter tool and put the public keys from your Electrum wallet in it, this way you can send from your old Bitcore core. https://limxtec.github.io/btx-convert/
Important: Always send a tiny amount first, to test if everything works the way it should.

Please note: The private keys did not change. Only the public keys.

Ok, got it now. Thanks for the explanation. I will probably move it to Electrum wallet soon.

I have the BTX core wallet. If I want to switch to the Electrum wallet how do I move my coins from the core wallet with the old private public key format to the new Electrum wallet with the new private publickey format?

I have not checked news and update for over a week, got scared for a minute there Cheesy didn't realized new address implemented.

I noticed the rich list said N/A on the new address format 2xxxx.
