The GitHub is not compromized - it is safe. Also, Limx Dev's bitcointalk account is currently locked, we hope he will be able to get it reactivated under his control soon.
Of course you can wait for our official announcement for the new core release before downloading.

Indeed, BTX has behaved in a similar way before. It does not follow 95% of all other coin movements, which is definitly worth noticing.

Exactly. Take your time. Better safe than sorry. And the old wallet is working perfectly, so I wouldn't see any reasons to rush.

unfortunately shapeshift and changelly don't support very many altcoins
I'd suggest [removed referral link]as that's what I use

Bitcore will definitely get on those platforms when some bigger exchanges are added.

We are suffering from the weakness of the BTC as well as other coins are doing.

It's common thought that BTX is under evaluated right now and the price should be at least between 0.003/0.004 btc.

The new airdorp rate at 6% weekly will for sure put some fomo in the crypto community. I mean, who the hell will give you 6% net every week? Honestly, I am earning double salary every months, doing nothing and just holding them. Having bought BTX at very cheap price, but even buying them now, you're going to get a lot of free tokens. Compounding interest is the secret key.

I keep holding it and sell part of them (around 50%) only at 2x from now. The team behind is great and deserve our confidence.

Hello, please help!
Today I went into my wallet on my computer and there was 0 BTX, although I did not make any transactions...

Looks like bitcorepool.cc and omegapool.cc are operated by the same people, both have Gergely Meszaros listed in the WHOIS information. This wasn't really surprising considering how suddenly omegapool.cc became the new pool that's recommended to everyone (in the facebook group) and the similarities in the pools' design. Moving hashrate from bitcorepool.cc to omegapool.cc really doesn't help at all in decentralizing bitcore. This is a clever way of tricking people into ignoring a huge centralization problem and keep collecting massive fees.

If update is not mandatory I personaly wouldn't hurry to make an update, also regardless the latest DEV compromised account, not sure how secure is to do anything until that is resolved and under control. Who knows what else attacker has gain access.
