When coinmarketcap corrects information about BTX. The circulating volume is not correct (understated), and the price is on the contrary overestimated.

Received the 3% airdrop devs, thanks! Question, why is Coinmarketcap still showing a circulating supply of 1,195,602 $BTX, thought it was more like 10-11 million.  Huh

Good question. What about coinmarketcap?

Thanks a lot BTX TEAM. Good job!!!

Also it shows bigger price in coinmarketcap compared with the real price in cryptopia.

The airdrop for this week is done.

Dear Bitcore-community,
we are happy to announce that the snapshot for the current airdrop has been taken.

You can now move your coins again and will receive your airdrop coins if you had your address registered with a balance of at least 1.0 BTX.

As you may be aware we had the big Bitcoin blockchain snapshot on November 2nd. From Nov. 3rd to Nov 6th we created a massive stress-test for the Bitcore network resulting in approx. 5'000'000 with record breaking tx sizes of up to 3.1 MB.
You can read about it here the BTC-snapshot here and about the blockchain world-record here.
This was the main cause for the delay for this airdrop - we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Extra precautions have been made to avoid a delay of more than 24 h in the future.

Your Bitcore team

I was about to say... what!? I didn't see my airdrop share.
but after another page reload on the block explorer... I finally see it. Grin THANKS!

btw devs or someone can confirm, do blocks in the last 3 days actually worth 200MB
my last sync (#77171 to #78877 ~ 1706 blocks) ate up that much of my quota/bandwidth data
and I see blk00000.dat 127MB and blk00001.dat 128MB in my bitcore/blocks folder, doubled than before
I asked this because my wallet didn't close normally after that syncing
I had to force close it because it's not responding for hours when I tried to close the wallet

Just received my Airdrop. Not much as I have very little BTX, but I'm very happy nonetheless – first airdrop ever received.  Smiley

Thank you very much BTX!

Snapshot support confirmed by HitBTC

Dear Bitcore-Community,

please everybody fasten your seatbelts. Today we have a little present for you:
It is now official - HitBTC.com will be supporting our snapshot from 2nd of November 2017.

This means that if you held BTC on HitBTC at bitcoin block #492820 you will receive 50% of your Bitcoin balance in Bitcore.

Your Bitcore Team

Dont know, kryptowork, Mportal. Nice crypto artwork. And i think HitBTC exchange is the best exchange (example) for BTX coin.

This is excellent news. Having one of the largest exchanges both supporting BTX and doing the airdrop to BTC holders retroactive to several days in the past is pretty sweet.

What would be even better news is if it was announced that BTX was getting listed HitBTC. Now that would be some great news.

getting supported is getting listed. (afaik)

I don't buy nor sell anything here and never will.
When I use my bitcoin wallet.dat within btx wallet, i should be able to view my btx coins according to the BTX website.
Am i correct assuming this will NOT reveal by private keys to the BTX network? (as when importing private keys into the BTX wallet?)

Not sure if there is a difference at al between those 2 methods.

If using your wallet.dat within btc wallet doesn't reveal your private keys to the btc network why do you think using the same within btx wallet (which is the same software with a few modifications) will? Logic is failing.

The difference between using the btc's wallet.dat and importing private keys is that the .dat file contains also your (btc) address book and (btc) transactions list. Both will be useless to you in btx network, you probably want to use -zapwallettxes in that case which will remove the transactions and rescan. Also if your btc wallet is hd then the .dat file contains the master hd key from which all your private keys (including your change addresses - don't forget those!) are derived so if you had many of those unspent at the time of the snapshot then it would be easier for you to just use the .dat instead of importing the keys.
