BTX received in my old BTC address (as seen in the BTX block explorer) , then imported in the bitcore client following the tutorial and it works like a charm.

However, please everybody be aware that by doing just this (importing the private key), the "airdrop" coming from the snapshot won't be considered for the 3% weekly airdrop, as the new income formally is in a different address from the one you have registered for the weekly airdrop.

guys, just to be sure. I'v exported my private key that looks like this: L4Kopm6zA18b...... and write it down on a piece of paper. That's all I need to recover my btxs in case my hdd stop working ?

Yep, that's also what I did. I copied the private key into a notepad and stored it into a usb thrumb drive. Also created a backup file (.dat) and stored it to my usb thumbdrive as well. I've also made numerous copies and scattered it everywhere so just incase my HDD stopped functioning, I'd know how to be able to retrieve my bitcores to a new wallet just in case i'd get a new HDD in the future.

what is the process to create backup file (.dat) ?

Stupid question here, I never wrote down my private key when i d loaded my btx wallet. is there any way to find it out still?
Thanks

@samowri - not a stupid question at all. I do believe you can see the private key by clicking on receive address or something. Or you're suppose to type something on to the console to retrieve the private key.. I forgot the exact commands though...

@bombardier - on the wallet itself, when you click on file on the upper left corner, you'd see an option to backup your wallet and it would create a .dat file.

I did the same but what do you mean that you “created” the wallet.dat file. It’s in
C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Bitcore\wallet.dat
Copy paste the wallet.dat file right? Or i am missing something?

yep. the .dat file is what i copied to another file location such as a usb thumbdrive.  Grin

Bitcore (BTX) - The Future is Now
Just because I'm curious, why do you start this list not at the beginning? Was 215c1a350c9f0ebfd733769e0c98cd7062d402da1ad686139b9b352d34facce7 not the first transaction in loading the addresses of the snapshot?
Or am I wrong?
I try to see a systematic. Which attributes characterize the transactions above which the previous transactions regarding the snapshot didn't?
Or am I seeing not something totally obvious?

Ive start my work on wallet >75 BTC so the first step was this post :

The Snapshot!

The first coins for the chainwriting are on the way. From tomorrow on, you can claim your 0.5 BTX for 1 BTC. The first stage are bitcoinaddresses till 75BTC.
That are 22560 addresses loaded with 5324574,29058621 BTX.

Your
Bitcore Team
Ah, ok. You split the job and you posted only your part. That was easy Smiley
Dann, I'm eager to see when someone from the Top 100 in the snapshot is going to claim his/her little pink, beautiful BTX.

Great work, as usual! Also nice to watch it live on the explorer: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/

For everyone wondering why our coin supply is rising so much, it is because of our snapshot.

It's interesting to know how many coins Devs leave exactly for airdrops to find out how long will it work. Also we all know that we need really big exchange. I think anything will be clear when BTX gets Top-50 on coinmarket but I don't think we'd get it earlier than 1-2 month.

20 mb block size why ??

i think it's because you need more room after segwith 2x is full, because it can only handle 2x what the block limit is, if it was still 2mb it would only be 4mb, could be low if this coin increase the numbers of transaction per second

Well, here we are in the top 100! Congratulate everyone. I hope that this will have a positive effect on the further development of the project and people will not lose the coins handed to them.

Disobey.
I have found no pools to mine this coin. Anyone knows how to mine bitcore? Huh

https://www.bitcorepool.cc  a smaller pool, but getting better rewards than the big 2 pools!

Here is a (full?) list of pools. https://bitsend.info/forums/index.php?topic=178.msg1298#msg1298

i hope so. (tell them that number of posts is not related to airdrops)

i wish this is not related to the bitcointalk database hacking and paid advertising.

(my hero account was stolen, and now it shows and "eidoo" icon (ico, scam, whatever it is..)

i want this thread and project clean of shaddy crap.
