I am for increasing the percentage of drop to 10-12% instead of 3% for faster coin distribution.

One of my favorite threads! Everybody is so involved! Including devs.
People are coming up with all sort of ideas and being listened to. Great stuff!
One thing I would like to say to you guys. DUMP HAPPENS...
so lets not get bogged down too much with this idea. Every crypto faces it at some point. Eventually good tech will prevail, in the long run.
Lets hope that we all can agree on a distribution strategy soon and move on.

Ya I mean even bitcoin has gotten dumped at times but granted they have a lot more notoriety and buy pressure but its still the tech and development that will really make this coin prevail regardless of distribution.

Whatever you chose, remember, once you do an airdrop you can't take it back, so take as much time as needed to come up with the best idea, you don't need to do the airdrop at october or november, nobody even forces you to do it this year, it can be done next year, don't rush it if you're not 100% how you want to do it. I vote for 3% weekly + extra 1-3% for social media activity, share/like.

I agree with every word you said

i am  agree with the dev team poposal, becasue it is a long term project ,if so many coins rush into market ,they will dump hard ,it will ruin the bitcore. so with 3% weekly airdrop, many people will notice bitcore is a good coin ,they will come buy and hold.

Whether people adopt bitcore or not has nothing to do with supply and everything to do with real development. There are many people that won't touch BTX with a 100 foot stick right now because it is pre-mined and there have been many scam projects that have burned people. Again, I am not saying that these devs are like that but it is all about appearances. The second hybrid plan is very much more gradual than the original hybrid plan. Additionally, this slow and steady thing is actually hurting us because I think it is the sole reason why we are not on any of the larger exchanges. We have the volume to get listed on Bittrex but because there are so many coins in the devs hands I don't think they will allow it. There are some serious negatives in the devs plan as well because it might be significantly longer before we are on a better exchange than Cryptopia.

How about this plan... It should mitigate peoples fears of a huge dump but still distribute the coins in the exact same amount of time as the original hybrid plan. It would be a .4 BTX to 1 BTC drop to bitcoin bag holders, give a one time +25 airdrop to BTX holders, and then after that a 10% weekly airdrop that will continue until all of the coins are distributed. This will give us the benefit of being fully distributed sooner for legitimacy, mitigate the potential for a massive dump, provide massive incentives for new investor and old alike, and also still give the invitation to BTC holders to explore BTX. This really seems like an even better plan than my original hybrid plan. Tell me what you all think and the spreadsheet below is what the numbers would look like. We would tentatively be fully distributed by Feb 26th.

Dood gwestcot can you stop making plans man your literally confusing the shit out of me  Huh Grin . Haha jk I like it actually, but it would be nice if the plans were all summarized

once we get done with the suggestions. And then have a poll to narrow it down from how many ever suggestions to 2-4. Then have a "final" poll which indicates what the

community would like. Then obviously the devs can act on that, or do it their own way whatever they decide.

Hahahaha ya I know its fast paced craziness here in this thread but I am trying to come up with the best plan that pleases the most people. You are never going to please everyone but this one is probably better than my original plan or the devs plan since it gets things distributed faster but it doesn't have a big drop. Just the percentage is significantly higher each week but that is indeed still more gradual.

The final distributionmodel

Dear Bitcore community,

we wanted to say thank you to all of you and your broad support!

3. We will be updating our weekly 3% monday airdrop. At the beginning of october, we place an online registration page for the 3% airdrop. You have to registrate ONE TIME your BTX adress with a signed message.
From november, the 2nd, the weekly monday airdrop will be only paid to registered adresses. The rule to have min. 10 BTX in your wallet will be dropped.

To be sure that you are captured for the snapshot, it is imperative that the Bitcore (BTX) have arrived in your wallet not later than 6 blocks after midnight!

We reserve the rights to make changes as required.

Your Bitcore Team

Jon, Chris & Steve

I just want to know has this taken effect yet? If so where is the registration to continue the 3%?

Will there be if you know you can get a 66% increase in the number of coins you can hold in the next 4 months if you stay put? Those compounding 3% weekly air drops will add up on a large distribution so it will be smarter to stay put. Would you sell under those circumstances?

Depends on the current price. Maybe someone in this thread is right, maybe you, maybe none of us. It's hard to find something between so many opinions. All my hopes is on the team, I believe them and their chosen path. So I'll hold till Valhalla 1000$ each.

I like Valhalla better!!!  Grin My logic is based from a stance that people are greedy so i think this incentives the greedy enough to stay put rather than sell out. I do not personally know of the capabilities of the devs but as long as a road map is made and benchmarks are hit I don't think the price would even be lowered much in February. I have stated a million times it really is mostly dependent on the development and not the distribution. A different distribution model simply makes this look like a more attractive investment which bridges the gap between the short term into the long term prospects of the coin. It is a gamble as anything else is but to me it is a worthy one since this coin does some things better than any other coin on the market and we should be decisive in cornering that market.
