what pool is the biggest? I am looking on the list and the pools there only account for like 500/4000 MHs

I have no idea. Same here.. btx.suprnova pool, have problems as well. I cant find info about that. I cant swich to different pool, cause my wallet doesnt update... frozen...

altcoins based on recent bitcoin versions do not have the getwork method.
ccminer needs it for solo mining.

best way, IMHO, is making your own pool.
then you can re-use it on other coins in the future.
I would imagine that the wrong person could hit the chain and pull a real quick domination factor force attack. I need to look at the block reward structure more closely and see if a 51% is even possible in the near future.

it will go down more whent he block time of 2.5 will kick in, because there will be more coin mined by miners, and they will dump 4x the amount they are dumping now, stupid decision imho

actually you don't need a full pool, just a stratum/getblocktemplate proxy.
i know ...
but id rather have our own cwi-pool
...for testing tho - solo SHOULD be functional ... stupid bitcoin removing it in the first place
