As i understand, IOTEX have a complex architecture which is designed to scale and not aimed to have a fixed TPS. "Their Blockchains-in-Blockchain structure (one root chain and many sub chain, each one of those subchains can host different devices/use-cases and can have very different configurations, including different TPS) helps to achieve the auto-scalable goal". I hope this is will be reality.
Hi! Yes, the way you described it is mostly correct! I would only add that the Blockchains-in-Blockchain architecture is one aspect which allows IoTeX to scale, the other fundamental aspect is the Roll-DPoS consensus linking together the subchains, and when the network grows (i.e. more subchains get added) Roll-DPoS kinda "replicate" itself into multiple consensus groups each of which manages the consensus of different subchains in parallel, thus increasing the TPS.
I hope this is will be reality.
Well, the development is going on at a very fast pace! Right yesterday the Mainnet Preview code has been released, an a first implementation of Subchains + Corsschain transactions has been showed.
