I am formally requesting moderator status on the forums. I can't spend a lot of time moderating, but I can clean out this ridiculous russian porn at the very least. If I cannot have access, I would like to request that someone else do what I'm proposing.

I agree. The original concept is too mired in 4chan speak. I understand that the memes have grown much farther, but it's still one of the worst abominations of the english language I've seen and it doesn't translate to other cultures and languages. The cat/kitten/meow concept does. I would be wholeheartedly behind disposing of the kitteh moniker.

Of course it really comes down to what Veremit feels is appropriate, as I have accepted him as the new father of our coin and, as such, I respect what decisions he has made thus far.

Actually... good segue... Hey Veremit... if you have anything you need help with, I think there are a few of us here that would be willing to assist. I don't have an enormous amount of time to invest but I would like to do what I can, (if you were so inclined.)

Not to sure myself why the devs have not renewed this, I personally have the ability to get positive ssl certificated for $4 USD which is not much at all for a year!

I like the H in Kittehcoin.. its way more hip and frankly less lame than saying kitte "N" coin.

So, what's next with kitteh? Are there any plans for the future? How to climb back from the dumpster we are at? As I can see there are some concerned guys taking over what's left of this coin (thanks a lot for that by the way!!!) after Dano's retreat.

Things in crypto changed a lot since we were at the satoshi market, so old shit (like: go to twitter and tell everyone what coin to buy or donate to some fund and earn some love and new buyers won't work anymore I guess)... So maybe some tech tricks? Or any special marketing moves through social networks? Or else?

Usually at this point I asked smth like: "Dude, what about yourself? You like asking here a lot but what you are gonna do yourself?" Answer is simple - almost nothing on my side I have no tech skills, Im not a social person (like a couple of friends IRL) and I sadly can't donate much since all I've got for now in cryptos are my 180m kittehs I got at average of 20 satoshis (I know Im stupid as fuck but I trully belived in those relaunch promises from devs and all my spare BTCs were lost while I was trying to make some buying support at the lvl of 10 sats. Imagine my frustration when we dropped to the ground and I saw Dano's post telling that he's leaving for new project and that he sold every coin he got at 15 (!) sats). So all my millions worth doge's shit and giving them away won't do anything accept making me leave from Cryptos once and for all... But I still have hope left (and not a single "real" penny I want to spend in cryptos anymore)

But lets move to the subject. So are there any future plans from a group of ppl in charge now or all we do is wait for a miracle (like Wolong and his famous pumps)? Maybe smth to post in twitter about the current state of business to let everyone know that coin is still here?

@catotune: yes, Dano let the SSL certificate at his end expire .. it's on my To-Do list. You'll find this affects the main kittehcoin.info site, and the forums that I know of, currently.

Don't worry too much about the "invalid certificate" warnings .. if you check the target IP, you will see it still matches the VPS box that Dano has always been running. This will be transitioned as soon as I work out a replacement SSL certificate provider my end.

I have a working Kittehcoin client (with a modest balance), and it's syncing up-to-date, so the network is still working fine.

All the wallets seem to remain accessible via the central https://kittehcoin.info website.

Last I checked, MEOW was making a small steady increase in value over at Craptsy .. sadly we disappeared out of the BTC market into LTC .. but trading seems to be steady.

I believe someone mentioned something about a (new?) pool supporting Kitteh .. I know we had a run of terminations as people lost interest, and Scrypt dropped dramatically in profitability. I'm delighted to see a couple of people having put up new Kitteh nodes .. thank you for that.

I continue to hang around IRC if anyone stops by - I don't always respond quickly .. often I'm either working or sleeping. There's a small core team holding Kitteh together for now, until some of us get a bit of time to move things forward. I will try to follow up those who've offered services to Kitteh, but as I can first-hand testify .. sometimes sync'ing up with the other timezones (eg Dano!) can really take some days/weeks to actually happen!!

You will have probably noticed Dano's last post .. he is wrapping up his involvement in Kitteh, and I am doing my best to take over and maintain the assets as best I can. May I take the opportunity to thank him and his team for all that they brought to the Kitteh project.
