I seriously think the recent kittehcoin "news" was just a quick pump and dump scam. Kittehcoin was nog selling for 1 satoshi on cryptopia for months, some fake news comes online and all of a sudden the price spiked to 20 satoshi, someone just made some quick bucks. Verry little buys after that, only sells.

Last few LTC of buy orders are now in the books at 3 2 and 1 satoshi. I think these are the last buy orders and they will be gone in a few hours/days and the price is back to 1 satoshi or no buyorders at all. After that everyone is just bagholding millions of dead kittehcoin (again).

The price isn't even the biggest problem here but look at the volume spike and drop, this is classic for a pump and dump

Also there seems to be a problem with the block-explorer being stuck and on top of that 50 billion extra kitteh coins have been mined due to an exploit.

Would have loved to see some new live to this project but im happy I sold out completely a couple of weeks ago

Wow this attack coin injection should never had happened. The wallet should reject transactions with generated coins more than 2000 MEOW. I hope this is stopped, this coin has great potential,; even with 77 billion coins. I hope you can prevent future attacks.

those fun coins can actually become a reality. as long as they find a way through some real world utility, or virtual world like in games. if this coin manages to get used in some games as a method of payment a bit like voxel or redd coin, it could be really interesting at this price and the devs seem to be active with a road map in mind. i look forward to see more on this coin. go kitty go!

I was thinking the same, I am working on a fix to prevent future attacks. Any examples you know of from other coins I can compare with?

I think the problem was also a difficulty ratio error, perhaps a higher difficulty and less coins per block might help stabilize kitteh.

Like you said not much can be done with previous attacks so all we can do is move forward from now in.


We can all work together to bring this coin to life, it has potential.

I will also re upload the block explorer shortly, just need to rebuild the node.

We can't fix that cause first attack/injections of 1st billion coins happened 2016-12-16. at the block 1239257.

Only solution now is to prevent future attacks. Now it exists block explorer and we can control every possible attacks and cancel all future attack transactions.

Also, in the source code it should be added new checkpoints regularly.

Think about changing from the scrypt to the x11 with masternodes.

I am going to look over the wallet and try to find the source of the attack.

If there is anything that can be done then I will make the changes and update the github source and windows wallet.

I will start working on a new version of the wallet, any and all support welcome!


Everything will be back online within 1 weeks time and hopefully we can start moving forward!



If anyone knows off hand where the attack is from it would help greatly to fix the problem!

Who is the devs now?

This coin after the hack is dead. If you want the coin to succeed it needs a new chain an a relaunch.

Devs don't care about the extra coins/ hack that has been documented here. It doesn't impact the business rules for the project they said.
