Come on dev's come and join this project! Price Will go up when good work is Done. We have it in our own hands.

Maybe we can post advertisement or anouncement on morningminerals ( hoshimaru?), coindesk or another crypto site for looking for good dev.

Good escrow service is www.transpact.com. Cost's are € 3.49 that is not much in this sector. What are the developments in finding a new dev? We Can not wait any longer. Volume is down to long now. Pm me if dev is found. Come on Guys this is a very good project. Minerals can be great.

Hey just discovered this coin as i am a SC2 player, not very good though Sad

I think the concept of this coin is interesting but i do have my own coin http://foldingcoin.net which is an alternative mining experience. You dont mine a blockchain, you help Stanford Universities Folding@home project that creates medicine and FoldingCoin pays you in FLDC for your work.

We have played with the idea of using this as a game currency and we are currently trying to incorporate it as a Meetup.com currency.

Im writing because i notice that the Dev is gone, I will research this coin a little more but what if FLDC picked up where Minerals left off? we would still want to use FLDC because we feel it has more value than a traditional coin since it represents real useful work and not just wasted energy on a blockchain. But i would be willing to develop a way of buying everyones minerals off them with the FLDC funds I have folded early on when our coin was new.

I would like some feedback, what does this community think of this proposal?

There is already a community takeover of this coin underway.
Who is taking it over? I would love to support this in some way

I almost gave up on the block explorer or Minerals altogether, but having some days off from work now, this free time looks quite fruitful ;-)

Now that the back-end is working (properly), I'll modify the file loading part again, to increase the processing speed of the whole thing.
When that's done, comes the translation of all the front-end references to Bitcoin into Minerals.
Third, but less important, is give it a 'Minerals' skin.

Then I guess that it will be ready for production :-)

Maybe I'll have to start thinking about how to use Github decently from now on. My knowledge of it is limited to "git clone" and get the stuff built.

For those who care: a video conversation on Skype between CryptoAsian and MineralsPR just passed by in my Twitter feed: http://t.co/JKhIphIHjM

Looking good - I can't understand the need or use for craigscoin - AFAIK posting stuff on craigslist is free so there wouldnt be a use for it - MineralsPR should have stuck with minerals.

once you have go something workable I can host a version for more in depth testing (full blockchain)
I've changed the references to Bitcoin in the front-end as far as I could find them. Now, a more daunting task is waiting for me: the underlying modules need to be modified to be compatible with Minerals' blocks and transactions. Also the block reward is a calculated value. I need to find where it is in the code and how it should be to reflect MIN block rewards iso BTC... And including POS transaction and their rewards... Challenging enough for someone who hasn't written a single line of code for more than 10 years and on top of that, with stuff that didn't even exist back then. Livescript or the version of Javascript everyone came to hate, but Node.js or AngularJS? No no :p

MineralsPR is now 'CraigsCoin Developer'?

Hilarious
Craigslist Inc will not like this (°_o)

Haven't done anything related to crypto or the block explorer today as I had other more important things to tend to.

From last Friday in #bittrex. Just got it from another someone on another IRC network:

Code:
19:35:05 Finally. A friday evening
19:36:01 Hi Richie, Rami, Ryan
19:36:05 <@bittrex-ryan> hi
19:36:27 I'm sad
19:36:56 Because my ICO does not generate fuss like ClusterCoin did ;)
19:37:21 I remember how everything people were speaking about was that coin lol
19:38:54 fwiw, the cloudflare thing and my login expiring so quickly, gets to be quite annoying for someone that uses your exchange all day
19:39:00 ⇐ pistdov_ quit ([email protected]) Read error: Connection reset by peer
19:39:04 especially on a mobile
19:39:51 See? Nobody cares ;)
19:40:18 → pistdov joined ([email protected])
19:40:31 oh, I'm used to that, I'm an american
19:41:23 MineralsPR: is Minerals dead?
19:41:40 Not dead
19:41:52 But dev does not want to continue to develop it
19:42:27 I'm actually presuading him to giveaway betting services sources to allow community takover smoothly
19:42:46 hovever his natural greed is winning now.
19:43:35 Does community even want it? Never saw someone asking for it tbh
19:44:27 Everyone spoke about takeover but what is takeover? Wallet redisign? That is not very interesting.

http://bet.minerals.pro/ is down too. This implies the betting wallet has become useless too.
I'm running "Mineralsd --daemon" for staking only, but I thought it might be important enough to mention.

Are there still tips of 1 MIN given for posting? It's hard to see when using only the daemon.

Also: found where to hopefully start defining a new currency in bkchain Smiley

Update: Mineralsd's main.h required some patching on Linux as bkchaind and mineralsd cannot access the blockchain dat files at the same time. bkchaind crashes when loading the data from disk while the daemon is running (which makes sense to retrieve the transactions in real time. The patch slightly modifies the locking mechanism for file access. On MacOS and Windows it is not needed.

Ok escrow service is good plan. Does someone know good dev? Is mineral dev still active? Do we have all the information we need for a community takeover? Otherwise it has no point to put all the effort in it.

Its all in the github no? Then just fork the coin and new dev takes over. We first need the new dev now though!

What are the cost's of an escrow service? Mostly they ask money for the service.

shouldn't be that much. Normally something between 0.1-1% fees.

First new dev has to be found. Do we have dev's willing and capable to do this project? Dev first has to deliver than I will donate. I don't want promisses, real work has te be Done!

I want to put the coins into a scrow Service, with that, devs would take us seriously, coins should be transfered to dev once he reach some milestones, until that, coins will remain locked into the scrow Service.
