+1 RamiroGomare

I've noticed that the people using the Minerals v1.1.0.0 wallet had network problems. My own wallet even had 0 connections.
The culprit seems a runaway process on the Ubuntu v14.04 x86-64 server that drained the CPU 'points' and literally froze the whole system.
Trouble started on the 14th of February Undecided

I still don't know exactly which process killed it, but I suspect Python, which is used by the block explorer.

The server was rebooted, DNS updated and services relaunched. The super node is currently synchronizing and I hope that within the next hours everything goes back to normal. This is the first major incident since the 8th of October 2014, date when the new block explorer, dns seed and super wallet went live.

If you're having Minerals on Bittrex, prepare to transfer them to your wallet or another exchange. It's going to be delisted:

As you might have noticed or not, the number of connected nodes in the wallet went down to 1 or 2 instead of the usual 6 to 8 connections. Stronci alerted me of the issue this morning and at the same time, the block explorer was stuck since Saturday afternoon.

The cause was Mineralsd not running anymore due to the kernel killing its process to guarantee system integrity.
I updated it to v1.1.0.0 that we released earlier and did some changes to the system configuration. It's all up & running now and synched with the block chain.

Your connection count will increase again over time. The server went up to 19 connections after a few hours.

For those of you who want a little more details about the solution: http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=658

No idea. Wasn't Stronci collecting funds for this?

Bittrex saved itself with a 0.07 BTC worth daily trade last week ;-)

That chart on cryptoine is awesame :p

Stakeworth is increasing over time. Perfect.

Concerning further developments: something urgent came lurking around the corners, so that's top priority right now. I won't be doing much with Minerals for a while, except maybe a little in the evening when there's time. I hope it won't take too long though Shocked So don't worry if you don't see anything moving.

whats the bounty for a new dev atm? Smiley

Do we actually need Bittrex while we don't have betting features right now and only saved the network from collapsing for now?
We're still on 3 other exchanges should volume fail to meet Bittrex' requirements.

hi guys: im just saying :
"This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on January 23rd unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC"

Is there any working block explorer?

Nice overview Cheesy

To answer your question: yes, there is a working explorer. You can get there via my site Services > Explorer
Or directly via http://explorer.morningminerals.com

The explorer is currently hosted on a modest VPS. Should there be problems or error, let me know. It might need upgrading to a more performing solution.

I think that the logo can still be the original one instead of the one on github.

Morningminerals seems to be quite slow since a few days. I've been looking into this, but couldn't find out why. Maybe my host has troubles.

You've all been waiting for it and I know it has taken a lot of time to get to this point: a new wallet!

Before you're all getting over-excited and pump Minerals to the moon, please consider the following remarks Wink

  • The wallet will be released some time during the weekend, at latest on Sunday.

This is not meant to bully you: I took the liberty to send the source code to the exchanges first with an introduction and history of what happened here since it got abandoned. I highly value their feedback, and in the unfortunate event that something is wrong, they will see it much faster than we do. I hope I sent it to the right email address or that those receiving it, will forward it to th right person (it's new to me, never had to contact them before) ^^'

  • This is a transitional wallet.

By this, I mean that it serves as a bridge to get across the synchronization issues. All the betting features were removed as well. So it has zero new features.

  • The source code will be made available

  • The wallet will be built for Windows and OS X

  • Linux users will have to build it for themselves.

I think it's the right thing to do since there are many different Linux distributions all with their own different versions of the dependencies needed for the wallet to run. I have tested it with OpenSUSE, Ubuntu, Cent OS and Debian: the resulting binary file couldn't be run on any other system than the one it was built upon

When the new wallet works for all of you, I think it's time to move on and get serious. We will also make sure to find a developer interested in taking the lead and bring betting back to Minerals and Minerals to the betting scene!

So for now, hold on just a litte more...

its about 7 hours the wallet is open still connection.... im going to leave it open it might work later...i hope...
If after 7 hours you still have 0 connections, something else is wrong I'm afraid. Are you running other wallets at the same time?

There might be a rare and unfortunate event in which the same port is used by more than one wallet or application. Otherwise, it might be the wallet itself. Which one are you actually using? Can you post a screenshot (delete/mask sensitive parts)? I will try the same wallet as you and see if it fails the way it does for you.
i tried running Mineral wallet only still dont work....Im just gonna wait for new wallet.... thanks!
