TestNet regression of MurfCoin 2.0 is almost complete. New network and wallet coming soon!
I will briefly shut down the pool during the upgrade, but when it comes back up you will need to have the new client installed.
ETA for new network deploy is 48 hours.

failed connect to port
So the problem might be in your or your ISP firewall.
Can you please issue the following commands in cmd window:
telnet pool.murfcoin.org 4444
and tell what happens.

Taking my miner off the Network for a few hours to let the difficulty come down even further. Now is the time to mine with CPU/GPU for more coins! Also, I will still be sending out 100 FLUFF randomly to all miners on the pool. Happy hashing!

Hey folks, per Boostaholic, network difficulty is down, and I see several folks on the pool.
Some more good news - you're getting an upgrade soon! We're working on a full network upgrade with a much newer client to come up to speed with Litecoin current development!
It won't be a fork, but all of the new security and speed features of the newer Litecoin will be present.
Soon (tm), its already staged @ https://github.com/cryptonexii/murfcoin/tree/2.0-upgrade - testnet will be live soon.

The difficulty has dropped to a point where CPU/GPU mining is possible, come join http://pool.murfcoin.org/ and get some FLUFF!
Over the next few days I will be randomly sending 100 FLUFF to all users mining on the pool!

Port 4444 is the lower difficulty port though... are you seeing a hashrate or accepted shares? Any error messages when you start the miner?
