Well most of things is gonna be changed ... we are working on developers team for maza, we will fork mazacoin and stabilize price finally

Not sure If I'm reading this right but... how do you think this fork "will stabilize price" ?

I read before that some plan on reducing the coins and altering the distribution model.
It sounds more like what the fed is doing not what the free market dictates.

Rather than forking and spooning the coin , why not actively getting involved and promote the coin... or if that is not possible with Payu still in charge ... scalp him!

Such is life in crypto paradise
Will this be a fork that Payu does not approve?

The fork will have 100% approval by Payu, but before it happens we need to fix a few issues.

Any fork will have to have Payu's approval I think to be adopted. Otherwise people won't update.

The main problem I see at the moment is that very very basic technical needs that are being completely ignored. There are users on this forum for example that will build a simple block explorer same day for little cost.

Also the client syncing issue needs to be addressed by the development team.

You are completely right. In the coming days we will release an updated wallet that solves syncing issues and host a working block explorer

You guys need to get a working block explorer today and contact coinmarketcap.com with the new link. This is a basic straight forward process that can be done in a few short hours.

And please remove the cryptorush link from the OP of this thread. I also notice the Android App link is broken. Addressing these simple issues relays a message of competence to the markets.

Good new if it's true - I never heard the developers argue coherently against a fork to reduce supply they just seemed to dig their heels in.

Freedom through Cryptocurrency!
I have recently been in contact with a nonprofit organization that wants to support or start a project to create a cryptocurrency for all Native/indigenous peoples, with an economic development fund held and dispersed by a transparently managed NGO. They are considering adopting MazaCoin for this initiative, but the recent doubts about the MZC development team and their commitment to the coin have given rise to the idea of developing a new coin instead.

Please let me know your thoughts on either option. PM me or post your reply. Thanks.

See you are illustrating EXACTLY why Mazacoin will continue to matter regardless of the price day to day. Because practically no-one here would support or even want to acknowledge ANOTHER cryptocurrency for Native/indigenous peoples - support Mazacoin or forget it. While they haven't worked with the community here that doesn't mean they aren't committed to the coin.

Interesting. In your opinion, do you believe that a cryptocurrency can succeed without working with the cryptocurrency community?

Please understand I am not here to attack MazaCoin. I'm here because I want to understand the arguments for whether or not to support MazaCoin. Keep in mind that any person or organization with the necessary development skills and/or funding can create a cryptocurrency nowadays, so it's not as though anyone has to support one particular crypto. MazaCoin does not have an inherent monopoly on being the currency for Native American peoples, just because it is the first. People usually support one particular crypto over another because they believe in its development team and how they are managing the project.

I'm open to all perspectives, pro and con. Just trying to gather information.

I don't think we have seen any cryptocurrency 'succeed' at all yet. One can gain acceptance and use regardless of community sentiment though, and that can still happen for Mazacoin. Let's be frank, all it would take to get people here back on board is a steadily rising price or just one Native American gaming operation integrating Mazacoin and introducing new people to cryptos that way. I'm saying it will be very difficult to launch another crypto with a similar focus and trying to engage people on this site with the concept, regardless of what kind of new promises you try and bring to the table. Personally I would ignore ANY new cryptos launching right now, but Mazacoin can still have a revival and for better or worse, lots of people already know about it.

I agree that a MazaCoin revival is possible. And yes, it's difficult to launch a new crypto, and I hope that won't be necessary. Having said that, there are currently some major issues that need to be worked out with MazaCoin, both organizational and technical. But if those can be solved then it has a lot of potential for growth and adoption.

I have spoken twice with Payu Harris directly. My friend from the nonprofit I mentioned will be speaking with him also. I'm not going to divulge any information I received through those conversations, but I suggest that anyone here who wants to know what's really going on with MazaCoin should contact Payu and ask him.
