Im setting up a nyan pool right now to help out. just be about another 30ish minutes id say waiting on the block chain to sync.

It seems there is a problem getting the Nyancoin wallet to sync on a fresh install - We're getting lots of people over at reddit.com/r/nyancoins that can't get it to sync. I tried installing a fresh wallet and ran into the same problem. We are helping them create .conf files which is fixing the problem but is time consuming and confusing for some users. Does anyone know what's up with the wallet? Is the default sync address down?
It went down about an hour ago, but it's back up now. We will release a new version very soon with updated nodes so everyone can connect without the conf file in place.Thanks for all of your help with Reddit

I'm very happy to report that our reddit community is EXPLODING, more than doubling in size in just the last 12 hours! Most of this new growth is thanks to redditor "americanpegasus" who reached out to the /r/dogemarket community and started a giveaway thread. He is spearheading an effort to create a nyan trade subreddit - that will act much like /r/dogemarket, where redditors can trade coins and make deals with Nyancoin. We're hoping to include the same code that runs on /r/dogemarket, allowing good users to build positive trade rep, among other functionality.

I was able to get it to work with the .conf file that is provided in the first post. However, if I tried using the .conf from cryptocointalk it never syncs. Don't know if this is true for everyone but that's just my experience.

Please contact your favorite pool operators and ask them to add a Nyancoin pool! I'm sending out a few emails now - If you want to do something to help the coin this would be a big help!

disabled signups again.. would be great if miners just spread out evenly so we don't have to keep stopping and opening registration.
Only 2-3 pools left? weren't there more?
There was 4 pools originally but 1 is no longer around.

USUALLY speaking, higher mh/s = higher coin price, i welcome the new miners.. its hard to get exchanges when you dont have much network hash.... i am guessing another big solo miner though?
This is great news, though a bittersweet feeling since now it takes me a month to mine what i did in a day back when the coin was on life support...
Yeah I definitely miss waking up and having 15-20k more NYAN in the wallet. Now i'll be lucky to have 500
