Greetings NYCoin!

Slosh here, just wanted to get you all up to date on what is happening with the dev team. We have just released version 1.3 of the Core wallet (see notice https://www.reddit.com/r/nycoincommunity/comments/91smfi/dev_updates_7252018/) which means we are ready to move ahead with the Security Updates! Please be sure to download and update your wallet accordingly as all changes take place at block height 4.8 million, around the 28th of October 2018. The new wallet is faster, more modern (from a code point of view), and has a few more features than the previous iteration. It's not pretty right now but when I get the chance to give it a face lift I will do so (or if you are a dev that knows their way around QT, hit me up).

We are currently in contact with exchanges and 3rd part wallet providers to get them up to date on the new code so we should have little interruption during the transition.

Now that the core code is out, I will be spending some time on the Electrum wallet. It has needed some love for far longer than I would have liked but we are shy on devs and the security updates were top priority. I will post an update here once Electrum is back on track and hopefully we will be able to get a few more nodes up and running.

Again, please update your wallets and nodes to the latest edition before height 4.8 million so that we can all move into a more secure future together! You can find the latest wallets here https://github.com/NewYorkCoin-NYC/nycoin/releases as well as bundled packages that contain all of the command line tools needed to run a headless node (scroll further down the release page).

Thanks for your devotion to the project and all you're work, it means a lot to all of us even if we rarely mention it. Kudos to everyone in the project!  Smiley

I will explain in a few words. For brevity is the sister of talent, but the stepmother's fee. 01. I've been at the foundation of NYC since March 2014 ... I know the nyccoin. 02. Why is the coin interesting? In contrast to others, it continues to spread to payment in fact. And this is the main thing. Money is just the equivalent of a product. Checkmate. Nothing coins are worth, if they can not buy anything (exchange). At NYCcoin, more and more you can buy.03. And on this planet there is an even richer and more monetized city? Most countries are not close by capitalization. Well, briefly. For the rest - http://newyorkcoin.net/

By the way, Charlie, the site design was better before. Not as laconic as it is now, but more informative.

DAS BOOT !

NYCoin

When the madmen stop selling our coins for satos, then the miners will become millionaires.
Having a couple of higher educations with the difference I predict even the cost of BTC in 19500 in 4 months. NYC is a bomb. Save and do not sell. I am 4 years old miner and help the community.

Please explain to me why NYC is the bomb?? What is the advantage of NYC over such NANO (https://nano.org/en) ??

And, the Web Site is looking really nice. Cool to see MOST of your faces! Good work!

I should probably update my photo to be honest. Even NYCMiner was expecting someone younger when we met at the conference at Atlantic City. I'm looking old, lol.

Also for those running mining pools, I'm having a hard time getting a message to go through on the contact forms. NYCpool specfically I got an error every time I tried to send a message about the updates. If they are coming through I apologize for the spam, I get an error on my end.

Mastermining pool - I don't even see a contact form to leave a message on. I'm not registered with your pool though so that may be why.

Thanks,

Despite the great news, the liquidity of the coin remains at 0! Why the community does not understand that this is the most important thing!!! It is necessary to cause speculative interest, for the promotion of the coin it is very important! For example, burning coins - instead of 135 billion to make 1.35 billion - this should raise the price to 100 sat. to reveal the liquidity of a coin will be possible to speculate.Next, for example, add to InvestBox - this is one of the few actions that can slightly increase liquidity. Lack of liquidity is an indicator that no one needs a coin in this form, unfortunately(. Over the past year, the volume of trading has not increased (except in January against the news of the addition of NYC in the wallet Coinomi), despite the HUGE work done by the community. What do you have to tell people to WANT to buy this coin? Are we talking low Commission and a block of 30 seconds?? FORGET!!  There are proposals much better! For example NANO, EOS, Ripple,Steem,Stellar, NEO, the NEM, it is much more technologically advanced coins than NYC with a higher transaction rate and almost the lowest (or otsutsvie) commissions!!!!! So what is the advantage of NYC? Of course NYC is fast, and almost free but it's not ENOUGH!!! YOUR suggestions???

p.s I am a fan of NYC and believe in this coin!!
