I'm still holding too, don't think you guys are alone. But as long as the community stays active enough, we can succeed. Eventually we will find our path.

Lets vote for OC at this pump as well:

I was going to grab those 2 million OC for cheap. I waited too long.
I should have dumped some OC at 400 Satoshi. I waited too long. TOUGH LUCK TO BOTH OF US.

haha dude, you and i both.  I was like the first person on bittrex to buy OC and it's been below the price I bought it for for quite a bit now, so it seems most people are selling/have sold this coin for a loss.  I don't really get the lack of success, BLU came out at nearly the same time and is enjoying success on crypsy and seems to have less potential of things going on with it.  I suppose a whale randomly wanted BLU to succeed and there you have it.  I still think OC can make a comeback and I'll hold my coins, good luck to us.

Ok I think I got the github thing figured out. Anyone, feel free to correct me, but this is what I gather.

Testzcrypto was making mod's to the code for version 1.0.4, our current version, but started this back in late June when the pull request officially started. OCdev has officially accepted the code mods on github 13 days ago. Now I don't know if the code changes are for the existing 1.0.4 and are incorporated already but never updated on github, OR if the changes are made for the future 1.0.5 and the version number in the code is still 1.0.4.

Anyway, the code changes are for the installers for Windows and Mac; and an update to OpenSSL1.0.1h (security fix for SSL http RPC)
I found this webpage explaining: https://github.com/Orangecoins/Orangecoin/pull/16

Somebody bought Orangecoin for cheap yesterday, netting 1487769.07879254 OC for 0.74388453 BTC.

I have confirmed OCdev has approved code changes at github ~13 days ago. I do know how to read parts of the code but the things that changed I will have to look into when I get more time to see what's actually been done. Some are just typing changes like Orangecoin changed to OrangeCoin. These changes were not made by Jim's github account either.

Halofire did Orangecoin give any idea of his plans or circumstances? Is he still our head boy or has he left?

OCdev has not returned any of my messages nor has he disclosed why he's been away.
I can't say that he's left yet because of the tweets and the github change, some looks to be some possible GUI changes from a different coin to OC as well, so it looks like he's still working on the coin and having someone else do stuff for him. Again, I haven't looked into the changes yet, only briefly.

I've been in contact with Rami on twitter. We should be ok for another week at least. I'm thinking we will get the *danger* memo lifted and then we will have another two weeks after that. That should not be a reason to slow trading down, keep it up! These are great prices to be buying some substantial OC.

If anyone is on twitter, please find my account @halofireoc and reply or comment to what I wrote to Rami at bittrex to show him we have community support. We did have enough volume for this week, but I'd still like the community to follow my lead on this to show Rami/Bittrex we are alive and kicking, even without an active dev.

twitter accounts of mine: @halofireoc @halofirebtc

The reason I have two twitters is because I started with the OC twitter, but the same reason for my sig changing here on the forum is the same reason why I made the BTC twitter account. I use the BTC account more, but I check my OC account everyday and is how I'm able to send my messages to OCdev.

So anyway, go log on twitter, locate me or Rami and tweet to keep OC!

No, I just bought a bunch of coins on bittrex, got the wallet installed and soon to be staking coins. Good time to load up on coins to stake with.

Welcome!
You will be pleased with the staking results and speed once the coins mature.

so people how are the eta on the roadmap / ideas anny new release coming soon so we can see some traction ?

Hello!
We are waiting for OCdev to return so Jim can finalize coding. please refer to the previous pages to catch up on all the details.

Are you in contact with Jim?

Can Jim finalize it if OCdev has left the project?

Jim had said he 'could' release the wallet but needed to go over Ocdev's coding first, but without OCdev, it would take Jim a while to figure everything else out (like code definitions and such, I'm guessing). Jim was brought on board to assist OCdev with the MN, not to take over the coin. Would he want to release the MN if we found a new dev or dev team? Idk, that's what I'll ask him.

I asked him a question 3-4 days ago and he responded but needed to get on his computer to check out what I asked him. I had noticed activity on github, but I don't know exactly what was done, so I asked Jim to explain. Looks to be modifications to the code from someone else, but I don't know if OCdev was involved at all for 'merging' or 'pushing commits'. If anyone can answer this, great!

Just so everyone knows, I don't know any other devs or dev teams, other than a Revival Committee for dying coins. Not sure if the RC is the route we'd want to go anyway. Check out https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/closed-576714 and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Edit: I'm not pointing us in any direction by stating this last paragraph, I'm only letting everyone know what resources there are available to us that I'm aware of. It's up to the community to decide what to do when whatever time comes.
