Karmanode Update script: Log into your karmanode copy following line in your terminal to update your karmanode.

Once script is finished makes sure you restart the Daemon as shown at the end of the script.

truth ? it was actually Ras and Squid started fixing some cosmetic things, very small things and .. they got bored, it's part of of end goal.

thanks Mike! yes we are to be completely automated in the end, Smart contracts will take care of the donations platform finances and no one will ever be able to dip in to the charity funds as it were, not without the express vote of the network. there will be NO central governing body, the entire system here will be 100% on the blockchain, secure and automated.

well this has quickly moved on from here, Glad we met you @Legendster, That really is a great though and given squid already had it half made it's something we can work on in the very near future, I want to talk about this more on here, but I think we give it a code name and come back to it later This will be a big step in the right direction, Many minds bring great ideas cheers mate.

Hmm .. it is true that small instances of donations often go unnoticed and many times they never even reach the targetted destinations. It'd be interesting to see how Ohmc would tackle that situation. Maybe they can learn a thing or two from Venchain in this aspect.

Thinking myself a step above merchants, think of an entity like Vanguard the creator of the lifestraw filter series (they sell a filter for Villages too, I've researched it a lot)  this would be a good partnership to look into in the future as it goes hand in hand with the charity aspect, though, further on, Shops and online retail good also be good, small acts of kindness such as sending pens. pencils paper / book etc to 3rd world. that is where I see Ohm being used in retail / merchants etc

Project seems very hot, I want to know, when the bounty campaign ended, your bounty business looks very tempting, I try to look at the effect because of the best conditions provided by the team!

My last two points were not about giving any time to the project, not sure why you would make that association. Take a gander at what I wrote again. I was asking about their stance on ethical standards. I am all for waiting if the end product is well polished.

The devs say that platform is progressing nicely. But they wan't to make sure to be a good product, without bugs, so give them a little more time. It should be out soon. I think the idea is progressing nicely.

Merchants? how is Ohmcoin going to be directed towards merchants? As far I have read and known, Ohmc is about a charity and crowdfunding project where the masternode holders are the ones who cast votes so where do you see merchants getting involved in this?

Thanks for responding. But are you guys sure this is the best way to proceed? What if some Hitler 2.0 wants to massacare some more Jews or at the least non-lethally cripple them by torturing them financially and hence want to run a funding campaign through your Aok platform? Will Ohmcoin as an organisation support such instances?

How will Ohmcoin censor the uncensored?

I have since reconsidered and I am now hosting a masternode for Ohmcoin. The devs were really helpfull in sorting out the bugs with me behind the scenes.

Feedback from community is the most important factor if it is not strictly business oriented product, this project needs to listen both fronts as it has also a big chunk of it directed towards businesses and merchants.

We are already working on setting up our own Nonprofit which once done should help with attracting more investors. Also, when we implement the AoK code the coin will be able to facilitate crowdfunding on the blockchain which will make it harder for people to censor crowdfunding campaigns. If you stay up on the news, you may have noticed that activists consistently petition crowdfunding sites to shutdown legitimate campaigns for political, religious or cultural reasons. Political being the biggest motivator for most uninformed activists, which is quite sad in my opinion. In essence we would be making crowdfunding, as Anthony Antonopoulos would say, "borderless, censorshipless, peer to peer and decentralised".

Yes, some repos in our git have not been updated because some of them are being staged to be updated. The main thing is that we do update the coin frequently but we do not update the master until a new release is ready. If you look at the develop branch you can see that it is active and we will be pushing some more updates once we release Ohmcoin 2.3.1 to the public. This next update after this next one, which we are already working on will include segwit and possibly some form of tiered masternodes.

As for sustaining above the sea of shitcoins, where we will shine will be when our AoK platform is implemented, giving the coin a use case.

Attracting investors is a big issue for a project that wants to base it's business model doing charity work. They need some ex-Unesco guys or something to be the operations head to lead this project anywhere.

Besides, this is one of the cheapest masternodes around with somewhat noticeable market cap and ROI. But if they are to sustain themselves in this sea of shitcoins then they need to expand their team and push out more updates on the code repositories. I checked their git, it seems they haven't updated the code very frequently with some repos not even touched in the last 6 months.

This really turned me away from hosting a few nodes myself.
