I really don't know what to do to get my wallet working properly...

It had been in a mess since I installed it 3 weeks ago....

Initially, it was on sync with my coins visible in it.
I made a back up immediatly.... to protect the coins.

Then, the coins disappeared and the wallet became constantly out if sync.

After many trial with someone and help of people here, I tried to restaure the wallet
with the coins, but finally all attempts turns to be unsuccessful.

Finally, I deleted everything (because I have the original backup file)
and install the wallet again...

All was fine, the wallet became on sync... and for the last step, I reinstalled the coins.

And this time, as before, the wallet became out of syn, and went back
to former blockchain (531258 with info about december 2015 if I am correct, cannot check right now).

I don't see the coins in the balance (remain at 0) BUT I see my 2 initial transaction form July
to receive the coins in the wallet.

I tried several time to -rescan -reindex the wallet
to put everything in place...

NOTHING is working to have a wallet working WITH my coins in it properly.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

I am lost, and would not want to loose the coins.

WHY the wallet was in sync (I checked the current blockchain number)
and then when I change the wallet file to put back the coins, everything
went wrong and wallet became block in a old blockchain number?

When I change the wallet.dat file, I delete every other thing, except the bootstrap files and folder
and the .conf file.

I fixed several other wallets recently, and it was the exact same procedures or similar
and all was fine

Could it be someone to reach out to me and guide me more personally?

I don't want to loose all the coins.

Is there something that I am not aware about with Ok wallet?

What should I do ?

thanks

What happened to bittrex wallet? Last block updated was 1017 mins ago?  Shocked

Hopefully their explorer will catch up last blocks soon!

They had wallet maintenance yesterday, probably just updating now. .. heh 1234 minutes .. 20 hours left to sync. Edit: The last block update occurred 1273 minutes ago. -- it's going up .. so not live?

I wonder what Polo are playing at not listing OK already? Have an idea, everyone send a picture from this collection of sexy cats with a meme.

NEED SUPPORT with my desktop wallet please....

Recently I installed my wallet, let it sync.... all was fine.

sent OK coins .... received in the wallet, all was fine.

Then at a point wallet started to be always unsync and syncing
AND the coins were there AND I had the info about my incoming transaction.

BUT, since yesterday, NO MORE COINS.... the wallet is still syncing BUT
I have 0 coins, 0 transaction in the history, 0 receiving address....

PLEASE HELP

What is the issue?

PS: wallet locked at all time ;-)

thanks

If you are on windows, close your client, make a backup  of your wallet.dat and reinstall Okcash with the easy installer, start the client and should get fixed.
It happens when the wallet does not have time to close correctly, to prevent in future just give time to Okcash to close properly, also remember to have it unlocked for staking,
let it sync to last block and everything should get back to work. Your coins are always safe as long as you have your wallet.dat

Thanks.

Actually, with the help of a tech skilled in wallet, I tested different things..... coins were back..... but still not accurate block number
and then, coins disappeared again.....

We tried different things by my wallet was stocked on a certain block number as well.

So, now, I deleted all files in my roaming ok folder (after backup of wallet.dat file).

I have reopened the wallet and now waiting for the syncing to be completed before to install again the coins.

Hope it will be fix that way.

Thanks for the support, guys.

Will keep telling what is happening as this is really not easy to do it alone ;-)
Glad I have this partner knowledgeable in that area

Please provide information on operating system (windows, linux, 32/64 bit...).
On Linux your wallet (wallet.dat) and blockchain data should be in ~/.okcash/ (the "~" being your home directory e.g. "/home/thealmightyuser/").
On Windows (Vista and later) your wallet (wallet.dat) and blockchain data should be in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\okcash ("%userprofile%" being your home directory e.g. "C:\Users\thealmightyuser").
You should at least have a recent copy of your wallet.dat.
Check firewall permisions for OKcash executable. If those are fine, try closing and restarting the wallet app (sometimes it seems to fail to aquire a lock on database and/or wallet.dat, idk...). If this doesn't do the trick, restart computer and try again.
Also, in the data folder mentioned above you should find a "debug.log" file... reading it might give you (and/or us) a clue.

POSwallet.com has been a solid wallet the past week.  Each product that adds OKCash i try to test out.  I think that this has been a cool one thus far.

The huuugest down side, is the 1% fee upon deposit (yikes!)  Unlike other coins, with OKCash you will make this back in a relatively short amount of time.  And now i'm almost back to staking for profit on someone else's system, with web convenience.

They look to be building an exchange too.  I don't recommend keeping but a small portion of your total coins outside of your wallet.  This one so far is a cool product, reliable will be seen.

POSWallet is a Great idea, saves people having to leave a PC online to stake but no 2FA,
also, who's to say they won't run off with your earnings.
The 1% deposit fee, well, a bit high, but if they deliver, I think it's worth it.
For now I would echo that until they have been scrutinised a little more and tighten up their security,
people should only invest what they'd be OK with to lose.

Totally agree Smiley

Length of service is a good indicator, but clearly has burned many people via lengthy problems (Cryptsy grrrrr.)

I've almost made back all of my 1% fee, i have just a small bit there for fun Smiley  Definately, keep 80% plus in your secure wallet!

How about the ability to make timed transactions.
So I can send someone 10 OK coins per A Blocks, (roughly, per day, per week, per month)
for X Blocks, starting in Y Blocks.
DNotes Vault has the ability to lock coins away, at least their website does,
for a period of 5,10,15,20 yrs, which is good for Pension or other long term investments.

also,a company, could put these transactions on the blockchain, once there, the employee knows
he's going to get paid, no matter what happens to the company.

One scenario might be, you start working for a company, each month you work there, they deposit on the block chain
1 day's salary (for example) to be released to you at a time you specify.
So, assuming you intend working there long term, you specify, that each future payment is to be paid ten yrs in
the future.
Thus, ten yrs from now, you start getting 1 Days salary per month.
Hopefully, OK Cash will have increased in value by then, but, you are free to add to these funds to top up your
future earnings.
Lots of possibilities, ensuring, without human intervention, that someone will get paid, at some specified time
in the future.

OKCash Whales

Typically, when someone refers to a "whale" of a coin, its from a position of uncertainty. A Whale represents large holders of a currency who have the large potential of causing change in the market. Some communities have taken this phrase to the next level.  Look at the Dash Whales (https://www.dashwhale.org/)  They work together to propose, select, and fund projects that can expand the coin, enhance the coin, or make the world a better place.

A few of us who have been around OKcash now for awhile, have already been doing this behind the scenes.  We promote with our twitter accounts, our reddit accounts, bitcointalk, you name it, were finding a way to use it to get OKcash out there!

We have been presented a project that will return on investment in about 6 months.  It creates a positive change within a community.  It also has the potential to scale up and not only be continually more profitable, but greatly expand the reach of OKCash.

The project?

OKCash will be working with the Sierra Leone Liberty Group.  The OKCash Whales will be providing captial to purchase much needed tools, and possibly expand lands to monetize the growing pepper market in Sierra Leone (SL)

Right now they have raised $140, and their goal is $750.  I would like to provide them with $660 USD to take them to $800.  $800 represents one person in SL Gross Domestic Product.  We have the chance to help these hard working individuals achieve their dreams, provide for their families, return on investment, and potentially expand scale.

Why is OKCash considering this?

OKCash is the social currency.  OKCash promotes social responsibility, and we don't mind making a dollar too if we can help our community grow.  The SL team is eager to get local businesses to start accepting OKCash.  We are already looking at possibly starting another project with their team, to do just this.  This enables hard workers to plant and grow peppers to be sold in the market.  Harvest will take at least 6 months from when we can get them rolling.

Why OKCash Whales, and not just continue doing community drives?

We want you to be recognized for your contributions to the OKCommunity.  We discuss the economics on slack, and pay each according to our desire in the project, and our abilities.  This may include private sale from time to time as members sit heavy on OK vs BTC and vice versa at times.  When we have projects like the above that will have a return, we need a simple way of coordinating that, and possibly provide liquidity to other whales seeking it.

If you are interested in donating please contact me via Bitcointalk or Slack.  If you are not interested, thanks for taking the time to check this out.  The OKCash Whales are always looking for new bright ideas Smiley

Awesome to watch the OK community teaming with SL group to support the Africa communities and help them start their own businesses/economy with OK.
It will rise awareness while creating jobs and helping them start their own sustainable sharing economy with food products that can help themselves and fellow brothers.

Now that is OK.
