Launching a project backed by physical gold has been used many times here and most of them ended up scammers.
So better think twice before introducing that to the community. They were already fed up with such projects pegged/tied/related with gold.
Even if your intentions are true, it will be a very tough challenge for your team to prove that you're genuine. By the way, xaurum and goldcoin are still doing great as they already proved to the community that they are doing legit business.
So you still have the chance, but your journey might be long and tedious. Good luck!
