wmcorless is not the dev. The patch was sent by the new devs. Corless is just trying take control of the old coin back by causing confusion.

No that is not true, I am the only developer for paccoin. the new developers are trying to use paccoin for paccoin cash. I am concerned that they do not have paccoins best interest at heart.

And as an investor, I am concerned that you don't have MY best interests at heart.

The new devs literally flew and met personally with Cryptopia to initiate the swap. If they're not the true devs they shouldn't be able to do that. And they have the legal rights to Pac Coin, which you gave up. So you are not the Dev.

The Dev works really well, whatever they do is only those who know what's best, so we leave it to dev. Hopefully there will be the best way for everything.

I own 1m PAC on Cryptopia and till now they still close LTC and Doge market. And it's ridiculous that i can't sell PAC because there is no Buy order and a huge sell order at 1sts  Grin Grin
I hope after swapping i can sell it  Roll Eyes

PACcoin update

To avoid confusion about PAC let me explain: the current PAC coin was an abandoned project created by wmcorless long ago. This coin has a broken chain and other severe problems, and can not compete with other coins at all. At the end of 2017, a new development team (the current team) picked up this abandoned PAC project with agreement of mr wmcorless. This can be seen here:

I've been talking with the new developers. I believe they have some great ideas, and can improve the value of the coin. So I'm going to Pass the Baton if you will and let them take the coin over. I think they can do a great job.
Bill

The new team is doing a great job, and currently working hard to solve the issues.  This solution is actually a new PACcoin that will be launched Feb 1 for masternodes, and March 1 for all others. The new PACcoin is a big improvement compared to the current PACcoin, that is actually useless. Because of the developments of PAC and the upcoming new PACcoin, the price of the current (old) PAC did already rise quite a lot very recently. And guess what: the creator of PAC showed up again. That is all fine, but please keep in mind that the only official channels of the new development team are these:

https://twitter.com/paccoinofficial
www.paccoin.net

There are other websites and twitter channels that are using the name PAC. These are not related to the team working on the new PAC.
Information concerning the change of your current PAC into the new PAC can be found here: https://paccoin.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Fork_Redemption_Guide.pdf

The wallet for the new PACcoin will be released soon, keep a close eye on the internet sites that I just mentioned.

And there you go. You can go to the page and find it yourself. I even screenshoted it. WMCorless is not the Dev of Pac Coin anymore. His very own words. He "passed the project on" to the New Devs and "let them take over" the project. He gave up rights to the project and can't legally take it back.

Now that his dishonesty has been exposed, let Pac Coin move on.

Mr. Corless, you will always have the honor of being the Founder of Pac Coin. Be satisfied with that and move on because all you are doing is hurting your own project that you've started.

Ok so currently i have pac wallet on mine machine(ubunu 16.04) and i`m trying to install the new wallet, but the problem is that the old one is already created .paccoin folder, so by installing new one, i`ll override this folder which will be a problem. Does anyone facing this problem, or if its not can you give some contact to ask somewhere :?

I want to ask one question concerning the swap. What ratio will this swap be? Because we have 3.4trillion coin and if swapped 1/100 that will give us 34billion. Now the current price is around 0.00005$ with market cap of about 170million. My question now is "after the swap, assuming it is swapped 1/100 giving us around 34billion, will the price be up to 0.005$/PAC to give us the 170million which is our current market cap?

Lets say I own 10 million PAC and the price of PAC is 1 dollar, this means I own 10 million dollars worth of PAC. After the fork the total supply of PACcoin will be reduced by 1000x this means I only have 10,000 new PACcoins.

THE PRICE OF A COIN = Total market cap / the amount of PACcoins in supply. Therefore assuming that the market cap remains the same at the time of the fork then the price of each PACcoin will increase by 1000x to 1,000 dollars to match the new supply/demand.

I will own the same slice of the pie and even though I have a reduced amount of coins. They hold the same USD value. My 10,000 new PACcoins are still worth 10 million dollars. Did this help?

Words such as these are more misleading then anything else:  So you are not the Dev
He has repeatedly told us that he is developer of the coin, which is true, and
he is not the developer of PACCASH ($PAC).  Cheesy

ps: I am posting this is due to the fact that it takes weeks for me to start to understand what's going on. It would be problematic for any newbies coming here for quick answers.

hey man, per your experience, have you heard of exchange perform this kind of "coin redemption" before?  I'm digging through the web, can't find any event similar like this one

Just to be fair, Jeffrey who visited cryptopia (again, not sure if it really happened or not as cryptopia is kind of quiet about it) is not one of the devs, he's the admin of that discord channel, i think he lives in auckland new zeland

Dear Crypto. Mr Cordless may be wrong but he is polite. I mean he does not say bad words, instead he chooses them carefully. Most people doesn’t have the knowledge to understand what you are saying, or to differentiate truth from false. From my point of view the problem is philosophical as it revolves on different schemes of technical productivity and the human behaviour associated with it. The original code wasn’t faulty… it was designed in that way. A design that work before with a firefly but can’t handle a dragon. Faulty as it was, the coin survived. Therefore the development that we shall see in the next weeks, (as its going to be fixed in the new version) is going to be amazing… If the code didn’t have that problems-by-design, we would not have this opportunity now.

I agree, I should keep my temper better, but I have to disagree that Bill lying to people that anything I did broke his coin is the opposite of polite behavior. He knows I did nothing to hurt PAC and his libelous statements deserve no respect, praise, nor support. Using me as a scapegoat for his coin's faults, especially when I tried to help him out, is just disgusting. It shows his character -- or lack thereof as it were.

Hey man, you are a good guy.  I think matter is much deeper than technical issues.

I think corless may have a higher risk here as he is not difficult to find (if things go south)

William, publish your photos, give an interview in some kind of publication. Put in the network a maximum of information about yourself so that people believe that you will not deceive and throw the project like last time. If you are a public person, in case of deception you will be found. Until then, I do not advise anyone to believe in your project.

I never threw the project, if that is what people want to present so to convince people to go with another group that's called sales tactics. I have had press on paccoin.

Its true that paccoin has skyrocketed since Saul Wolf got involved, but its also possible that there has been some market manipulation involved.

it is going to be swapped at 1000:1 ratio - post few pages ago.

Very interesting question about the price after swapping.

This is the paccoin thread, if you want to discuss other altcoins such as paccoin cash, and the so called redemption, please use another thread.
