So what is the status on this? I have been going to the site over and over again all day and an hour before the availability time. I guess we have to be patient. Maybe there will be a price drop... I guess BTC value is too low that they decided to not sell the Antminers anymore.

I would rather they not sell any if they don't have any...pre-order suck.

I am thinking we are simply experiencing a production lag from the CNY.

I can also confirm that I was not able to order earlier today, the web site was very slow to refresh and I couldn't get an order placed as the status was "Sold Out" all the way from 10 minute before the time listed and up to half hour after that.
In all fairness, they have the product in stock and they ship in under 1 week for North America (I live in Canada), only if you can get to place an order! Smiley I bought 1 on Feb.1, now I regret not buying more ...

Did anybody manage to get some yesterday. I was out most of the day but every time i had a look still could not order.

I wonder if they will still be charging 1.45 BTC when they start selling again 1.45BTC on mtgox = £357:00

I was wondering the same. They might go up in price because the BTC are a little less valuable today. But they might go down because the difficulty is about to go up and a given miner will now be expected to produce less BTC each. Anyone's guess I suppose.

Either way I wouldn't think you can count on MTGOX for exchange rates. After all, if your money is just going to get stuck there (you can't ever cash it out) then of course the value of any coins stored there is just going to keep going down.

Personally, I use coinbase.com to get a feeling for "real USD value" and to transfer between the two. Why? Because I can send BTC there and immediately cash it out into my bank account at their listed rate. Big buying sucks though. I could have bought several more ant miners if it didn't take 4 "business days" to convert USD to BTC for amounts over $1000 USD. I bought my BTC on a Wednesday and it took until the next Tuesday to see the funds. And while my BTC were "in flight" all the crap with MtGox went down and they devalued by 20%... all that said, it is still the easiest / safest solution I've found thus far for going between the two.

EDIT: I just noticed you listed your quote from mtgox in non USD... so my comments about coinbase might not be applicable to you. my bad.

I think mtgox is pretty much dead from now on...

I placed an order about 1 week ago and got it within 5 days. That was for two s1.

I was able to place another order two days ago due to a fluke on their site (order page was working even though front page showed out of stock). Shortly after i placed my order they fixed the order page so it was also disabled and then they posted their note about limited quantities coming available soon. I got nervous that my order would get lost since I did it through a fluke. But it did ship!

Having dealt with them twice I'm a believer. Reasonable pricing, fast shipping, decent communication.

LOL....  We all are beleibers my friend.  "Beliebers" get it....  Anyway.  It does no good for us to believe if we cannot get the product.  Cmon bitmain, I live in the USA so make me a distributor or an assembler of the product so you guys can make more money.  Expand!

I understand. Your comment is EXACTLY why I posted. I was trying to give some insight into my experience with bitmaintech - you decide whether to consider it valuable or not.

FWIW I contacted them about becoming a distributor. I eventually heard back (3 emails I sent over 3 days to two different contacts), but in the end all they said was that they would be releasing more soon and that I should "follow" their site. That's when I found out that they were "out of stock", but the order page still let me order the amount I'd mentioned I wanted.

If you want I'm willing to sell you 1 or both of my first order with power supplies and power supply testers (no macgyverism paper clip trick required). I planned to sell them after about 45 days of mining in the end, but I'll sell them now for a NICE markup over what I paid - I've got more on the way. Of course, I'm not sure why you'd trust me any more than you would anyone else... except that I can provide video evidence of them running.

How long after paying does bitmain send a confirmation email, and how long does it typically take for your account page to say "paid"?

It looks like i got the confirmation email from '[email protected]' within just a few minutes. The confirmation I'm talking about is actually the "bill". You must pay it within an hour (via BTC) to an address they set up for you. After I paid I don't think I ever got another email until it shipped. But if you log in to your account and go to orders you'll see your orders and their status. It tells you the order status (is it legit in their mind I guess?), the paid status, and the shipping status (either shipped or not shipped). I looks to me like it's either 1 or two confirms before they show as paid on the orders listing page.

After it shipped I got another email that said that it shipped... including tracking number.

i think they should inform us what means "limited" units  ..10, 100 or 1000 pcs Smiley

Right!  Because I think it might be 10.  Hire some more assemblers bitmain please, or look to your forum members for help in that area.

Well...  they opened it up again today, got 2 in my cart but when I pressed confirm, they were sold out.  They must have had so little available.

hmm, today's sale is clearly not nuch smoother than yesterday's.

the site wont load right now, and it sounds like there wasnt even a price drop (1.45BTC is not a great price)

Ohh look The Company you have the most trust for (Bitmain)'s website is down...  Cheesy
Man, what is wrong with you, why you drool so much for attention? I mean yes, i see you are a clown, but cmon.

So much time, and so less idea what to do with?

The website is not down, but maybe you should pay for internet, or they block you because you are annoying.  Grin

BITMAIN, would you be so kind to disclose how many PH/s of hashing power have you sold to your customers so far?

they have moved over 7,000 BTC through thier wallet address IIRC - that probably works out around 2500 miners depending what batch they came from - or roughly 500TH
