Dear community,
We hope you are all fine.
A closed AMA has been held recently with Peculium team, and it is with great pleasure that we share with you some key information regarding current status of closed Beta.
Let's review this together.
As has been shared in previous communications, AIEVE, the 'prediction engine', is not itself changed for BeliEVE v2.
The AMA focused for a large part on changes brought to the trading engine which has benefited most of developpers' attention and efforts.
Feature wise, 2 changes are prominent.
But in terms of architectural modifications, trading engines between v1 and v2 are two different worlds.
You may remember the different log troubles that were frequently the point of long discussions in Peculium channels. Solving those with an efficient trade tracking system (portfolio manager) has been one of the primary motivation for these changes.
As of now, the new trading engine:
- handles each trade for each user separately, as a distinct trade (1st prominent feature).
- controls for each of these trades its lifecycle, carefully monitoring each of its steps, till its closing either by a limit sell order (take profit) or market sell order (stop-loss, 2nd prominent feature).
Different trading strategies are being studied during this closed beta, differing in the way the stop-loss is defined for a trade.
Peculium team is constantly striving for the most efficient solutions. While a first strategy will be released as BeliEVE opens in the coming weeks, this strategy will continue to evolve.
Starting with levels designed after a heuristic approach, the stop-loss will progressively results directly from AIEVE engine in the coming months. Along with the take profit, it will then be dynamically adjusted depending on the ever-evolving market conditions.
In terms of execution performances, to better grasp the improvements brought to the new trading engine, when 1mn to 1mn20s could elapse in v1 between AIEVE's signal issuance and order filling (unfortunately leaving too much time for the price to change), 10ms is now the new de-facto standard with v2.
For an engine especially conducting scalping, this step was crucial to overcome, and will significantly improve BeliEVE's robustness.
On this basis, the closed-beta started the 4th of May with 3 portfolios of different sizes.
Developments are continuing on the front and back ends and closed beta phase will soon be extended to the artist community supporting Peculium.
By showcasing their portfolios to the public, a new phase in the marketing campaign will start, along with the opening of whitelists for BeliEVE Live version.
More to information to share in the coming weeks, stay tuned!
