How about the minimum coins for effective staking with the current situation of Pirate network?
I want to split my coins into different chunks but don't know which amount is appropriate for now.

You can try to use pre-release (https://github.com/piratecash/piratecash/releases/tag/1.0.3.14) there is new feature for you - minting and here you can see how many days need for your inputs and decide which value is good for setup stakethreshold in your config. By default this value is 250 from version 1.0.3.13 and 100 was before. It means how many inputs (volume) it will aggregate for staking and 2xstakethreshold will split your coins.
p.s./ I strongly don't recommend to split it manually because you will lose coindays for your inputs and the better to tuning stakethreshold value in your config

Around three more days left till the switch to PoS, so what should I do for my coins or nothing to do?
PoS was activated from block #1, all you need is to run the wallet and unlock it for stacking
If you switched on POS mining by instruction above you shouldn't do anything more
