Neues Wallet Update verfügbar
Offizielles verpflichtendes v2.2.0 PIVX Wallet Update wurde released, das Budget-System & Masternode Payment wurde wieder aktiviert und die Stabilität des Wallets wurde verbessert.

Leider hab ich auch keine Ahnung wie man das ändert. Hab aber mal kurz im PIVX support slack channel angefragt und als Antwort folgende Linux Zeile bekommen:
./pivx-qt -datadir=/path/to/new/directory

wechseln?  Ich wollte es nicht auf C: haben sondern auf einer anderen HDD

New v2.1.7 Wallet Update

Official NON-MANDATORY (but recommended) v2.1.7 wallet update has been released with many stability & bug fixes.

NOTE: Due to some critical changes, it will attempt to re-index your current blockchain when you first launch the new wallet with your existing blockchain.
If this fails, this means that your existing chain may be no good and you will need to resync from scratch to ensure you get a good copy of the blockchain.

How to Update
0. As always, backup the existing wallet to a safe location if you haven't done so already.
(File -> Backup wallet or ./pivx-cli backupwallet)

1. Download the appropriate wallet binary for your OS from link below.
 https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v2.1.7

2. Overwrite the existing executable files with the newly downloaded wallet binaries.  
(this can vary greatly depending on your current OS, use of non-default folders etc)
(if you require assistance in this area, please ask in #support channel in PIVX Slack)

3. Re-start the wallet. If prompted to re-index, then let it re-index. (or may do it automatically)

If #3 is successful and your wallet launches fine, you are done!
If #3 fails to re-index your blockchain or wallet fails to load, follow next steps:

4. Close your current wallet. (File -> Exit or ./pivx-cli stop)

5. From your data folder, delete the "blocks" and "chaninstate" folders. (Only those 2)
(feel free to rename them as a temporary backup if you want but they aren't critical)
(default folder locations for each operating systen are listed below this guide)

6. Re-start the wallet. Done! It will now take a while to resync back from the network.

PIVX (Private Instant Verified Transaction), ist eine anonyme open source Proof-of-Stake Crypto-Währung. Sie basiert als DASH-Fork auf dem aktuelleren Bitcoin Kernel 0.10.x und DASH.
Die Erzeugung neuer Coins erfolgt entweder durch Staking der Währung im Wallet oder durch Masternodes (wie bei DASH).
90% der "Block rewards" werden, mithilfe einer Kombination aus PoS 3.0-Protokoll und innovativem Seesaw-Mechanismus, zwischen Masternodes und Staking Nodes verteilt.
Die restlichen 10% werden für die Budgetierung von Projekten (zur Weiterentwicklung von PIVX) und zur dezentralen Verwaltung verwendet.


PIVX soll schnelle, anonyme Transaktionen innerhalb der Gemeinschaft ermöglichen. Wobei ein weiterer Fokus auf der Anwendung eines fairen Management-Systems liegt.
 
Seit Ende der anfänglichen, 6 monatigen, Proof-of-Work Phase, nutzt PIVX Blackcoins Proof-of-Stake (PoS) Konsens Algorithmus.
Der PoS 2.0 (und höher) Algorithmus ermöglicht dabei eine fairere Verteilung der "Block-rewards", sowie eine erhöhte Sicherheit des Netzwerks mittels "Staking nodes".
Die grundsätzliche Verbesserung des PoS V3.0 Algorithmus (gegenüber PoS V2.0) liegt im Austausch der variablen "block reward"-Größe (v2.0) zugunsten einer statischen,
um eine stabilere Belohnungsmenge und Inflation zu erreichen. Desweiteren nutzt PIVX den dynamischen Seesaw-Mechanismus, um die Belohnungen zwischen Staking nodes und Masternodes zu verteilen,
wodurch ein ausgewogenes Gleichgewicht zwischen "staking nodes" und "master nodes" angestrebt wird. Durch dieses Gleichgewicht wird die optimale Stabilität des Netzwerks sichergestellt.
 

Um per PIVX verbindliche, anonyme Zahlungen zu ermöglichen, arbeitet das PIVX-Entwicklerteam an der Implementierung eines modifizierten Zerocoin-Protokolls in den bestehenden PoS-Algorithmus.
Dieses anonymisiert die Transaktionen durch Verwendung einer anonymen kryptographischen e-Währung zwischen Zahlungsaus- und eingang.
Einführungsdatum für das Zerocoin-Protokoll (zPiv) ist der 13.10.2017. Bis dahin gibt es ein Pflicht-Update auf das neue Wallet v.3.0.0.
 

PIVX wurde ursprünglich unter dem Namen Darknet (DNET) eingeführt. Am 01.01.2017 wurde ein Rebranding durchgeführt, in dessen Zusammenhang der Name zu PIVX geändert wurde.
