Be the change you wish to see in the world.
A coincidence?

The Supreme Court in India just voted 9-0 that privacy as a fundamental intrinsic right. That's 1.3 Billion residents. Privacy is being given its limelight.

https://twitter.com/_pivx/status/901110932201451520

This is why PIVX matters, and why the community continues to move in favor of zPIV (zerocoin implementation).

The developers seem inclined to not just implement the zerocoin protocol, but to also be 200% sure beforehand that it is bugproof.

Only the developers know when zerocoin will go live. However, when it does, be sure to fasten your seatbelts, 'cause we will be going to da moon

Yes, that's how releases should be treated.
Testnet is for testing, mainnet for launches.
And when it launches, it really launches.
When will be that? What are yours prediction?

next year, even the devs think that next year is soon.

Since it is already running on testnet it is just a matter of resolving bugs, probably it will take a few weeks. Personally I expect that PIVX with zerocoin will be released next month. Of course I'm not clear-sighted and only the devs can tell for sure.

Huzwhat?  even the devs think that next year is soon not sure what "devs" you've been speaking with...

ANYWHO...

Guess what:
NEW "did you know" video released.

https://youtu.be/IW3VF6R3DyA

This one covers the statistical unlikelihood of someone being able to take control of the PIVX network (take over the majority consensus).

The number of MN decreased considerably from ~2200 to ~1550, that might explain the lower reward for staking, I guess a number of people switched from MN to staking because that was more profitable the last 5 weeks.

Maybe a bit of that, but most of the drop occurred in the last couple of days. I'm guessing it's more to do with MNs going offline because they're still coming back after being upgraded to 2.3.0 (or because they still haven't been upgraded).

The pivx staking reward estimation is off http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html this shows 2.16pivx / stake and the block explorer shows the last rewards were about 1.75pivx so something is off.

A couple of days ago I noticed this as well, I didn't look at the source but it is possible that the seesaw algorithm has been changed in v2.3.0 and that the payment stats are still based on the older algorithm.

Ready for that..
If we can deliver a bug free zero coin protocol implementation, the price will skyrocket. Look at the Monero charts lately. Privacy coins are getting their attention back.

skyrocket with fake btc wall. see this

The wallet was working fine till last night but since this morning it has been acting strange. i can see it on my taskbar, so it is running but it is simply not showing as a window. I restarted the wallet and it started but again I can see it on my taskbar and that's about it. It remains invisible. I downloaded the wallet on the 19th (the latest version from the PIVX site) and it was staking alright. Any help guys?

No guarantees, but that sounds like it could be a Windows issue. Sometimes Windows 'loses' windows offscreen, so they're technically open, just not anywhere visible. Try alt + spacebar with no other windows besides PIVX open or on the taskbar. If this is the problem, then that should open a menu allowing you to minimize/maximize/move the PIVX window. Either hit 'maximize' or move the window back onto the screen.

Again, no guarantees but worth a shot. Previous PIVX wallets have had occasional issues with recovering from a crash or other forced shutdown, but I've never heard of (nor personally experienced) the issue you describe.

EleanorZ-- you are right on the money with your instruction. Thank you very much. The issue has been resolved. I really appreciate your timely and wise input.

It's live on testnet.

Little teaser: http://178.254.23.111/~pub/PIVX/temp/zPIV-Teaser.html

another wallet should be released to implement the zerocoin coming soon protocol. I hope before BTC hardfork in november. at least the price will not fall to 0.0002 btc.

The new wallet .... pivx v2.3.0 keeps crashing on my mac

anyone else having this problem?

it worked after syncing the chain, and allowing me to transfer in the coins I had on bittrex... now after attempting to stake and not seeing the green staking light come up for a half an hour i exited out of the wallet and it will not reload.
