Hi It's my first time posting and very new to the Altcoin scene, but since PIVX was at 4 cents it seemed to have good potential so decided to buy into it.
Just out of interest I did some research on the top 50 Altcoins Price rises and these are what my findings are...

From what I've worked out PIVX has the largest percentage rise of all the Cryptocurrency coins apart from Bitcoin which has a rise of millions, PIVX is in 2nd place out of the top 50 coins by market cap!!

Funny you mention that I also went onto coinmarketcap and studied patterns of all the coins and noticed that PIVX demonstrated a pattern similar to Bitcoin and other coins that have gone on to succeed. Slow growth then an initial surge dying down to nothing then after a period of time slow steady growth gradually escalating. Many coins have an initial spike then die but this one has slowly grown it's a good sign that there is potential. It holds the record on Bittrex for volume 1st place several times the size of 2nd place. Don't get me wrong I will pull out if there is too much decline but for now I'm holding onto what I have and hopefully PIVX will wade out the storm it's currently in.
