For those who missed it, here are some slack questions answered by s3v3nh4cks (1 of 3 main devs) in the last few days: (last question was answered by me)

Masternodes are used for services on the network, and are rewarded a fee for their participation. They hold a collateral of 10k Dnet to be eligible. Staking is equivalent to PoW mining. It secures the network by solving hashes. When a Staker finds a block it is distributed based on the mechanism used (we use a variable seesaw based on the coins held in each masternode vs the total coincap. Darknet also is PoS 3.0.

No, staking is any amount, and splits when staked. There are only 1440 stakes per day, and works the same basic way as PoW

The main differences between Dash and Darknet at this moment is we are PoS and we have a custom mechanism to balance the rewards based on the conditions of the network. We have many things on the horizon, but we need help as there is only 3 of us atm.

We have decided that this is a community driven coin, so any proposal that is decided by voting will be followed.

So far, approx 60% or so, but we are looking at implementing a means to make it a requirement (not sure how though) to continue to get rewards

We have left it at DarkNet, but there has been discussion of rebranding. We are focussed on creating a tool to transfer value privately and completely anonymous. We want the wallet to contain encrypted communications, and a means to do Multi-sig Escrow transfers for person to person deals.

I think we are seeing many new investors right now. People are realizing that this coin has great potential.

There's a lot of talk on slack and I'll be posting some psuedo-interview that was conducted with the dev by a new member there later today.

I think Polo is tough until there is some visible progress on the coin's anon tech.

yeah, it's great that the volume has picked up a little... it may draw interests from others exchange. One big step will be listing on polo!

Woah! what happened to the price.volume at trex! Considering we don't even have formally announced anon tech, interest in the coin is solid.

Looks like all the anon coins are rising with the release of ZCash. Boyz, let's at least consider the zcash tech. We would rocket all the way to Pluto if incorporated.

Still running my dnet node, even though i keep forgetting to turn it on after restarts seven, you need to just remind me in skype when the masternode count looks low. odds are it's me again lol

It's only going up, be silly to sell atm. Day traders may sell for bit of profit but soon rise again.

Concerning zcash, I think it's a total scam. the 6 people trusted setup, can't check the full distribution, miner/wallet unavailability, most pools withdraw are over 1 zec (only 200 the first day) so good luck getting one out, the people behind it (who is who of the scammer crowds + 20% of the mining to the devs) and the idea of creating an anonymous coin while having the devs public about it... and if all of this wasn't enough it's a private corporation. At least they know how to hype it...

However, there maybe some value to extract to reinvest in Dnet , something like nicehash can be useful as it pay in btc, but forget the jack pot unless you have the power to mine a block fast (50+ rx4XX).

Any devs that want to help don't forget the bounties. Price on this rise the bounties worth more all the time. Check main op to make sure no one already on it...unless you can get it done faster then it's anyone's coins. Get in there fast!
