I feel very bad and would like to present the devs my sincere apologize for my last message. I have no excuses.

First of all thank you very much for having compiled this linux 32 bit version. Then to explain you my total frustration and previous anger, I have every time a lot of difficulties with linux (in this case debian). It angers me so much not to be able to operate it, to have always to search to do basic things in the command line. Furthermore this old computer is almost louder than an S9 at full speed. Moreover I clearly understand that my timing for my request was quite bad.

Sincerely sorry again for my lame and stupid last message and thank you again for 32bit version.

Sadly there is a big problem with the devs of this coin.  They believe to be so great that they don't answer most questions of the new comers here. Sadly as proved, their arrogance is only as high as their coding is weak.

Why after all the positive messages I wrote about this coin I say such words? I asked repeatedly for a linux 32bit version... being ignored by them, I decided to compile myself. So after learning all the basis of the process, which is by the way super user unfriendly (like everything on linux: this unnecessary complication is just used to mask the lack of coding power and smartness to make it user friendly) but easy. I see that one the ./configure needs to be modified with .ac at the end and worst of all the make command doesn't work for a yet unknown reason to me.

So to resume, their arrogant and unhelpful attitude, like if they invented the wheel, is detrimental to the community and eventual growth of this coin. I find it sad.

There's every chance that they just missed your request (yes, both times) due to so many sync / fork issue posts.
Have you PM'ed s3v3nh4cks directly or asked for it in DNET slack support channel? Those would be the best way.
Yeah, sorry, I didn't catch any previous posts asking for a 32 bit Linux binary. As jakiman pointed out, we have been pretty busy with other things lately, and haven't really spent a lot of time in here. Reaching out to us via slack or skype would have gotten you a much quicker response.

Also, you don't add .ac to the end of the name of the configure file. The configure file is used by autoconf to build the configure file that is then used to build the make file.

As mikegi stated, the correct commands to build the binaries from source are:
./autogen.sh
./configure
make

Which should work just fine assuming you have installed all of the dependencies.

To save you the hassle, https://github.com/Darknet-Crypto/Darknet/releases/download/v2.1.1.0/Linux32.zip.

Sorry you find us arrogant and unhelpful, at least no one else has accused of that. If you feel as if you are being ignored again be sure to reach out to us via some other methods, slack, skype, or PM. We are here to help those who need it, as I am sure most would agree.

Devs are scammers and can't make anything good! Dump your coins now!!!!!11

Grin Sorry, just wanted to make this thread looking like any other thread on this forum. I think devs are doing good work and the community is great.
Updating my wallet now.

If you are building from git, you need to generate the configure file. ( the .ac means that "autoconf" uses this to generate the file). The autogen.sh script calls autoreconf which calls autoconf among other things.

git pull
./autogen.sh
./configure
make

It is mentioned in the "INSTALL" file in the root of the repository. I haven't tried compiling it for 32 bit Linux. I would suppose it would be ok if the dependencies are met.

A question about the masternodes.

Do they need to be started by the controller wallet or will their status change when blocks start being staked?

I can't remember exactly what the masternode statuses I saw yesterday before starting were but, it don't they activated until after I started them.

Anyway, I won't loose sleep tonight. Will leave a terminal sleeping and ready to start them.

OK everyone. It was just brought to my attention that the chain started moving again. Some clown went ahead and custom compiled a wallet with the staking time parameter removed and figured they would get all of the coins for a day. I am going to make a new checkpoint at block 201 and we will all have to roll back to keep them from getting away with these shenanigans. I was actually worried that this might happen earlier today when I let the 259201 hash that was checkpointed out into the wild.

We are all going to need a new wallet and recync thanks to this guy. I will get on that in a few, but I think I am going to keep the relaunch at the 9PM tomorrow time, unless there is an outpouring of people asking for more time to prepare.

Another release!

Do we have to resync again?

Yeah. Sorry. You would not have had to if it weren't for someone modifying the code for nefarious purposes.

Really, I guess it should be taken as a compliment, someone with a bit of coding skills is keeping a close enough eye on things to try and get some quick, free coins. Just wish they would have come to us and said "Hey, I have a bit of coding know how and would like to help". They may have been able to get further ahead that way than the approach they took.

Anyway, the new source is up. s3v3n wil get the binaries up later on tonight. We are still going to restart the chain tomorrow at 9PM EST. This is the last time you will have to go through this.

Ok so I did recover transactions 1, still trying to figure out where my coins from Bittrex are doesn't matter now I guess they haven't updated, anyway so now the last transaction I have is from 6/15/16. Dug out a wallet.Dat from like March, same result. So if the chain was moving and my transactions stopped in June, I don't know wtf, coins are gone?

259215 been on that block for 10 minutes...? has it got stuck again?

No. Just figured out the issue. I screwed up. Last night when I entered the time parameter I added a day to the converter without looking at the date. I inadvertently made the start time tomorrow at 9PM EST by doing that. It is too late to change that now and still have a fair launch. Totally my fault, I am so sorry. It is what it is now.

For anyone wondering, the reason for the blocks that did go through is that I had to make a custom wallet to get the chain moving again. Otherwise everyone would be sitting there waiting for the sync to finish before they could stake, and with no one staking the newest block would have continue to be 2 days old, and no one would start staking, and so on and so on.

So, with that said, tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.

It did serve as a good quick test. Thanks for forgiving my screw up.

It was exciting for that first 15 blocks at least. We'll think of it as a teaser. Grin Grin Grin

More time for me to get my wallets ready. Wink

Haha yes it was exciting. One more day shouldnt make too big of a difference though Smiley
