Great useful project! Good luck!

Are a paid troll or fool? which one?

I lost a lot of money because of their "useful project" and "hard work".

Can not get in their slack, says - "limit reached".

Hi, updated wallet and now 10% of zPiv's.

I'm "hodler & staker" what should I do...
Keep 10% in zPivs? Can these be staked?
Should I turn the zPivs back to normal pivs to maximize the staking? How?

Thanks.

Currently, zPIV does not stake. But having them in zPIV helps the entire PIVX network's zPIV liquidity/anonimity. So it's up to you to decide which you like. Smiley
If you want to stake that extra 10%, you can simply disable it via config file or limit the auto-mint denomination to a size larger than 10% of your PIV balance.
Then you can spend that zPIV back to your PIV address. Keep in mind that you can only transfer up to 7 zPIV denominations per single spend transaction atm.
Ok, thanks.
zPIV currently not stake... Any idea when will?
If I disable (or limit) via config file and restart wallet then all back in PIVs? So no sending around?

i think you need to send back zpiv into your piv address,  set largest denomination as "5000"  then set lowest percentage "10%" this means you wont mint zpiv  unless you have 50.000 pivx.

First tried to convert Piv to zPiv (clicked Mint Zerocoin)
That sum disappeared from the Wallet all together. In recent transactions I can see "send to zPiv Accumulator"
Will come back from that Accumulator. Or not?

No. There are lost of cases like yours. You lost your money. They have slack support channel.
They can give advice.
But I don't know successful stories.
I lost my pivs and don't hope to get it recovered.

On some wallet copies I have only "sent to zpiv accumulator".
On another "Orthan block. Generated but not accepted".
I don't know which copy is better.
Anyway, don't know what can be done with it.

Hi,

Got myself in trouble just playing with the wallet.

First tried to convert Piv to zPiv (clicked Mint Zerocoin)
That sum disappeared from the Wallet all together. In recent transactions I can see "send to zPiv Accumulator"
Will come back from that Accumulator. Or not?

Have some zPiv currently in the wallet and trying to covert them back to Piv.
(Clicked "spend zerocoin", "Pay to" is empty with diffrent security levels)
Got the message: "Need address because change is not exact"
What i do now?

Any help would be appreciated.

jakiman is back!
Some quick updates:
1. PIVX wallet is now back online on Bittrex! You can now withdraw / deposit PIVX.
2. PIVX Android wallet's default nodes are also back online.

Many other exchanges will start to come online over the next few days / weeks depending on when they feel like upgrading our wallet. Tongue

jakiman is back!

And what about the charges for converting both ways?

There is a fee of 0.01 PIV per denomination during minting.
However, there is zero fee for spending zPIV back to PIV.

If I want to convert zPiv pack to PIV

I just send the same denominations back with a blank address and then click spend?

I just did that, and it shows me this box.

https://imgur.com/a/qow1U

I am good to go and just click ok?

Yes. That's correct. That will create a new address and send that amount of zPIV as PIV.

I do not understand the operational limitations we had with Bittrex. I do not know if there were restrictions on sending or withdrawing PIVX ... or what exactly happened.

What is the way to know if they have updated his wallet and everything works as before those restrictions? I think it would be a good confirmation that everything is fine.

thanks.

on bittrex status page you can check the status of wallets/coins
https://bittrex.com/status

as you can see pivx is inactive for Wallet upgrade

cheers

What do we put in the win 7 conf file to disable auto-minting to zPIV?
Also, what about those of us who had 40%+ converted involuntarily?
And what about the charges for converting both ways?

1.the line to add to the pivx.conf file to stop the auto zeromint is:

enablezeromint=0

2. You can quickly convert them back to pivx Wink.

3. Good question, personally I think it's a little price to pay to have just completed one of the biggest upgrade in cryptohistory. Frankly it's just 0.01 per txs to convert to zpiv, the reverse is free. And it reduces the coin supply making Smiley.

How much did you lose?

CORE 3.0.4 FINAL WALLET NOW AVAILABLE - MUST UPGRADE - OCT/29/2017

Core 3.0.4 Final wallet binaries & full release note is now available on github.
https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v3.0.4

Mandatory PIVX v3.0.4 (final) core wallet update has been released. This is the stable GA build which all users can use. All exchanges have been notified to update to this build. It includes numerous additional fixes & enhancements over the RC3 release. Please check the release notes for the full change log. (Note: NO ONE should be running any other version than THIS ONE. So please upgrade asap.)

WHAT TO DO

1. If your 3.0.4 RC2 or RC3 is working fine right now and is on the right chain, you do not have to re-sync the blockchain from beginning when upgrading to 3.0.4 final. You just need to shut down the RC2/RC3 wallet, install (or replace files) to the new 3.0.4 wallet, then restart the wallet. Wait for it to recalculate/sync. Voila.

2. If you aren't even running 3.0.4 RC2 or RC3 yet, then you must upgrade to this 3.0.4 final release and re-sync the blockchain: (3.0.4 wallet now has built-in -resync option in CLI & GUI)
https://forum.pivx.org/t/pivx-core-wallet-3-0-4-final-release-10-29-2017/

3. If you are a self-compiler, please DO NOT compile from master. Compile using the 3.0.4 tag (git checkout v3.0.4).

Always check @_pivx and my Twitter for latest announcements. (or Slack #announcments channel)

Thanks jakiman! Update downloaded, being in the reindexing phaze. Congratulation to the devs and everyone to have done such a wonderful work! zPIV is awesome and really enhance privacy manifold!

Thanks for this wonderful advice! it's a pleasure that you are back jakiman!

All my pivxs have been converted to zpiv and most are back to pivx. I kept some in zpiv for the same reasons as jakiman wrote.

I just send some coins. The speed of transactions is too fast. Well done, developers. It's really good coin.

fast, energy efficient, best privacy tech, strong chain, decentralized governance, great support, awesome community... what could be improved:

the ios mobile wallet and then the elastic block size to cope with txs volume.

keep staking!

Is there any tutorial available how to replace the wallet.dat and where to find the right folder?

Thanks in advance!

While wallet is not running, rename/back up your existing wallet.dat, replace it with the one you want, then restart the wallet.
Keep in mind that if you have any zPIV minted, those will not be visible on an older wallet that was backed up prior to minting them.

Code:
By default, PIVX data directory is located in the following locations for each common OS type:

Windows
Go to Start > Run > %APPDATA%\PIVX
(or just enter the above path in explorer)
or C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\PIVX

OSX
~/Library/Application\ Support/PIVX
(/Users/YourUserName/Library/Application\ Support/PIVX)

Linux
~/.pivx
(Hidden folder “.pivx” - control+h to display in the GUI, ls -a to display in terminal)

Thank you so much! Will try it later. Cheers
