Also, does anyone know why putting in your encryption password for your wallet every day isn't a huge security hole? Why wouldn't I just enter my ether receiving address?
From my perspective the website created and has access to my .json file and i regularly enter my encryption passcode into the website to begin earning tokens. Maybe this is ok, but no other token I've played with has done it this way. If it's a novel new approach I think someone should detail why it works.
Still a fun idea! I can't wait til Facebook starts giving us tokens for every post we make.
It's because of this reason I quoted below.
but frankly I can't confirm it because I have no idea how to check the truth of that statement.
I just believe it blindly on the idea, and I have nothing at stake on this project anyway
If you redeem tokens earned by playing, you will be asked for a password.
The password protected wallet is then saved in your browser (local storage) for future Go sessions
and can be saved for other usage. The private key of your wallet never leaves your Computer.
Every move you propose is signed with the private key of your wallet.
This signature is included in the game state which will be made available for every game played on this website.
A hash of the game state will be written to the blockchain (using this contract).
That way, despite the possibility to participate anonymously, progress of the games
and the resulting token payouts can be made transparent and auditable.
