Mining Pool Hub
How it is possible to set difficulty for equihash?
zm miner reports something like "server set difficulty to: 0002151c77d7e8f840000000..."
Should it be "--pass d=0002151c77d7e8f840000000..." ??

It should be translated to normal decimal system number (10 radix)
But it is actually not that important because that "d=" parameter is just starting difficulty and not static difficulty.

Static difficulty settings are allowed for only few coins which has too short block times like digibyte, myriadcoin.
zcash is not the case.

Just mine loner and your rig will automatically get appropriate difficulty level.
Even miner reconnection will preserve last difficulty for that workername so setting starting difficulty is really useless.

can anyone tell me what are these errors ?

They are just warnings that your hashrate is dipping. If you are having problems with watchdog being too sensitive then try the new release coming out today or turn watchdog off.

FWIW I think the multi algo works like this.

You set your miner software up with either multiple pools or multiple calls to the miner software in a batch file where each call runs a different algo. All the pools/calls use the SAME multi algo port and id details.

The Multi-algo port detects which algo you are using and routes you to the correct pool. IF the algo is not the most profitable of the set then the Multia-algo port closes the connection, this then makes the miner move onto the next pool (needs failover-only set) or causes the miner command line to exit and run the next one in the batch file.

So you configure the miner software to loop round trying each algo in turn against the multialgo port, the port will reject/close the connection if that is not the most profitable algo of the set.   your miner MUST support all of the possible algo's which is why there are different ports for different algo sets.

This is a good explanation, much better than on the FAQ page.  I like MPH but the frontend is a mess in useability terms and it could definitely do with better explanations.  It would save a lot of newbie questions and confusion here.  Not being able to easily see at a glance what you are mining at any given moment desperately needs to be fixed.  I understand however that big improvements are pending.

Definately better then the FAQ.

except its wrong about many things (djmuk's theory)

Are you saying the FAQ is wrong? or djmuk's theory? Cause from what i can see his theory is absolutely correct.

djmuk's theory , wake up

How about you explain your claim, cause again his theory looks to be completely correct. So as it stands you made a baseless claim and still have not backed it up. Maybe its you who needs to wake up.

already did with the actual way it works, a few posts after his.

@aaronsace

why is it mining to hashrefinery to your btc address even though only MPH was selected? My rigs almost mined 2 hours to that address using a certain ccminer version.

I've found the issue; it's because you haven't entered a wallet for the backup pools to work. I'll push a fix into the release coming out today. In the meantime, input a wallet or turn watchdog off.

Mining Pool Hub

Folks,

Has there been any recent news from MiningPoolHub regarding DASH versions?

The current wallet is 12.2.1 with 12.3 due soon.

I believe the Dash tx fee has also been reduced, by 10x.   Will this be reflected in Miningpoolhub's system?

Yeah. Lowered txfee from 0.001 to 0.0001 DASH
Also lowered automatic payout threshold from 0.1 to 0.01 DASH
Manual payout threshold is 0.002 DASH which is same as before.

I hope you like it.

Hi
I'm miningpoolhub op.
Hi,

Could you add to auto-switches groups yet another Nvidia group -- with equihash, lyra2re2 and lyra2z together?

As far as I can see, for auto algo-switches at the moment it's possible to have either equhash+lyra2re2 or lyra2re2+lyra2z.

Yep. I addded
equihash, lyra2re2, lyra2z

I posted a link to r/siacoin a page or so ago with details of what is going on. The gist of it is that Bittrex's wallet cannot handle the transaction volume currently going on, and rather than risk severe data corruption and loss of coin they have opted to suspend wallet operations temporarily until the siacoin dev team can provide a solution. There should be an updated siacoin wallet out in a few days, and more to come once fixes for bittrex are released.

Might be worth updating the pool announcement regarding siacoin with this info and the reddit link, that way people aren't left wondering.

Yep. I added that on announcement bar.
Thank you for it.
FYI, Currently siacoin exchanges are done on Poloniex mostly.

Definately better then the FAQ.   Took me 2 days of pissing around to figure out how everything worked.  The site usability is horrific (I'm a 20+ yr developer) and the explanations of how things work are scattered throughout different areas of the site.   Kinda looks like my old admin back-end pages from the 1990s.  Smiley

On the other hand, I've been happy with the pool so far even though it takes forever to confirm the coins.  They seems to have a good system for choosing what coin to mine.

I think I explained very roughly on pool. And UX is not that easy for switching, newbit miners.
I'll improve it one by one.

Also I want to say that I'm not an old man Cheesy

I am sure you have had offers from all over the place, but if you do want any help with some UI stuff and whatnot. (Not asking to see the secret backend). I would be willing to put some time in.

On a separate note i need to ask.

Does MPM work using the hub feature? Or does it do its own calculations and switch when it thinks its best?

yep. there were some volunteers and I asked them to make some diagram to guide new miners.
You can contact me via [email protected]

MPM uses miningpoolhub's api result set to get profitability numbers but switches independently AFAIK.

Guys I've been running on MPH for a few days now since ditching zpool after coming over from NH. MPH seems pretty stable compared to zpool.

I'm mining multi-algo with Awsomeminer and have been autoexchanging to BTC. i just went to set auto withdraw up and looks like BTC has a 0.0003 fee (~$5) with a min withdraw of 0.001 BTC (~$16), so basically a 30% hit.

I'm only running 3xGTX1070's at the moment so not pulling in too much a day.

What's the best way to go, set my withdraw threshold about $100 or higher, don't want to leave too much on there in case I get nicehacked again. or auto-exchange to another currency, maybe eth which seems to be about a $1 tx fee ?

other options ?

Thanks
Steve

What parameters do I start xmrig with to mine on Mining Pool Hub ? I've been using MultiPoolMiner but it closes cpu miners (xmrig and fireice) very often for no apparent reason and they just disappear from the list. There's config.json file included with xmrig but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to edit it or just start the miner with required parameters.

Hi,

I am struggling with setting manual start difficulty (on lyra2rev2 algo-switch), I try the following:
Code:
ccminer -a lyra2v2 -o stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:17018 -u -p d=16 -i 20

But I still get diff 256:
Same issue here.
Setting difficulty either doesn't work as expected, or we need a more detailed explanation on how to set it up.

I´ve set my MPH to "auto exchange" to Ethereum and awesomeminer to "auto switch" and mine for the coins with the highest profit.

Let´s say awesomeminer is mining for Monacoin, do I still have to have a Monacoin wallet and put the adress of it into MPH or is MPH going to auto exchange them into ETH without me having a Monacoin wallet?

Mined coins are stored in MPH's wallet. If you autoexchange everyting to ETH, you only need ETH wallet for cash out.

I am unable to get algo-switching to work on linux using ccminer and the following algos:

Code:
cryptonight lyra2v2 equihash myriad-groestl groestl neoscrypt keccak skein

Some of them work but most fail with "Stratum authentication failed" yet all the launch scripts are perfect.

My understanding is all the miners should connect but only the most profitable will receive work.
The round-robin description in previous posts seems wrong but if that's correct would be great to get some clarification to that end.

Small update, been getting very good results with  Lyra2z (both GPU and CPU). Revenue and hash rate display is quite accurate Smiley also it seems to be quite efficient, power usage went down to 160 W for the whole system (compared to 225 W mining Lyra2v2).

Hope it stays profitable for some time

How do you get the CPU to work?
You using an AMD, or Intel chip ?
What intensity level is everyone using btw?    I herd that 19 is best, is this true?
What is a good Stratum difficulty?      I have 5 1080ti

IF anyone could help, it would be very appreciated Smiley

Cuda error in func 'scanhash_lyra2v2' at line 151 : out of memory.

I am trying with klausT's ccminer 815-cuda8 version and a gtx960-2gb.
worked well on nicehash for this algo.

Appriciate your help.

Question that I am hoping someone can help me with - I configured MultiPoolMiner with only MPH, and altered the Algorithm list to contain only MPH compatible algorithms. Nonetheless, several times per day it seems to switch over to mining on zpool, no matter what I do to the configuration.

Is this somehow the way that the devfee is being handled for MPM? The individual miners with devfees sometimes switch, but they're labelled with "devfee" so at least I know what is happening. With the zpool switches, I have no idea why it's happening. I don't always catch it right away so I'm unable to tell if it does it for the 10 minutes I've configured, or just "as long as it feels like it."

I'm happy to let it do some time for the dev, just want to be sure that's what's happening - like I said, I see it more than once per day, and I haven't pinned down the amount of time, so it feels like something it shouldn't be doing.

Please can you upload the log(s) on GitHub?

Sure thing, next time I catch it I'll upload the log. [NM, found a log from earlier today with a few connections].
