It is synced...

whole config file:
listen=1
server=1
rpcuser=Gwynbleidd
rpcpassword=bla
rpcport=1111

bat file:
rminerd.exe -o 127.0.0.1:1111 -u Gwynbleidd -p bla

Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 ...

Make sure riecoin.conf is in the right directory, on windows something like "Users\gwynbleidd\AppData\Roaming\riecoin\"

Then close and reopen the wallet, and give it a minute to connect.

Also make sure the wallet is fully synched.

fairly distributed they say ? mining for over 12 ours straigh all i get is Accepted 0 in XXX seconds !!!

if i could count all accepted 0 it would be awsome !  Cheesy Wink

all arround 68980 khash/s

same here. mining prior to block reward start. min 12 hours. using own slightly optimised (~15-20% cpuminer)
0 blocks, not even orphan . waste of time.

I'm open to offers.

1.25M numbers/sec on an i7-4770.  Not too bad. :-)

How to start mining with rminerd_win64? How to configure bat file? Can someone give me a sample?

You have to start the wallet after customizing riecoin.conf, specifying:

rpcuser=blah
rpcpassword=blahblah
rpcport=1111
server=1

Then connect to it with the rminerd using 'rminerd.exe -o 127.0.0.1:1111 -u blah -p blahblah'

It should show hashing going on if it's working properly.

From a quick examination of their miner, it's less than a day of work for a good programmer to get a 5-10x speedup.  Someone who's had experience in high performance prime sieves could get more in less time.

(I hacked on my own version briefly and got an 80% speedup with about 30 minutes of work.)

I'd be surprised if there aren't at least several private fast implementations done already, devs or otherwise.  Doesn't mean the devs did it, of course, but I'd bet money that someone did.
Where's the code with those 80% speed increases? Or do you prefer to keep them to yourself? Wink

I'm open to offers.

I will say that since the standard for coin launches is so incredibly low, this was, by comparison to the vast majority of shitty altcoins, a good launch. I still don't understand why devs feel the need to set an arbitrary date and time to launch without having any clue whether or not their coding will be ready by then. Why not finish coding BEFORE launching?

Coding was done days ago. But the genesis block must include some news or something public from a date close to the launch to PROVE that you didn't keep the client for yourself and mined it in private. So after you set that, you have to recompile. For all platforms. 32 and 64 bits. If something goes wrong, you are in trouble.
It is done this way to avoid premining in private and then forcing a reorganization by publishing your secret blockchain.... I was setback because I used gitian to compile, which is really cool, but if something goes wrong each compiling attempt is very slow and it can be a PITA.

I'd say the launch itself was not as I wished, but still acceptable, except for the distribution problem. If it's hard to find a block it's not my (or anybody's) fault, it's because people throw a lot of processing power at this, but they are investing a lot too. The problem is I didn't foresee pools were so necessary....

we really need a pool, p2p pool or ypool is ok!

tron666: if you are mining scrypt with megahashes/second on your CPU then I want to have one of those too Tongue

Gatra: premining is detected fast enough, and since your first 500 blocks were reward-free (by which time plenty of miners confirmed that they were actually mining the first blocks) I'd say a 2-3 day old genesis block wouldn't be an issue. However, building stuff for Windoze can turn into a nightmare very fast, especially if you're not experienced.

Pools are the way to keep small miners (like me) in the game, since I cannot produce 100s of cores, my reward will be either zero or a full block, with the first the most likely. With a pool I get at least a few crumbs, which smooths out the reward/t curve.

also some guy says:

Great launch!

Yes, there was some little problem but the more important was the fair launch, and i think it was a success.

Now we need a pool. Ypool said they will add it for sure. But I don't know when exactly.

And an exchange. I'm trying to convince mcxNOW
