anyone know how to open wallet rpc port externally on ubuntu (on azure)?

In the Azure Portal, click on your VPN, go to Endpoints and add an endpoint.

Thank You

is this another failed launch like Maxcoin?

I'm trying to compile the source code now in windows and its a bitch.. not much documentation at all and the makefile.cygwin isn't working out of the box under windows 7 64-bit with cygwin 64 installed...

I'm going to have a bit more of a play around.. but seriously how hard is it to test your product and provide some simple instructions and a list of the deps required Huh?

is this really too much to ask from a "FAIR" launch?

Most of these alt clones are not done by true developers.  One could use the coingen and then simply label themselves as a dev with no experience.

What is with devs of these different coins lying about having windows binaries at launch?

I suspect they're Linux devs who don't know the ins and outs of Windows development. So, when something goes wrong, they don't know how to fix it quickly.

its not really windows development because its the same code base just compiled on a different OS... they R just too lazy to write doco and test it.

My take on it is that these Linux developers are so smart that tackling windows binaries is easy, until they get to that part.

If so, protest!
