I moved to ublock into their open source xptminer just according to better hashrate. I had 40.000khash in riepool, and around 300.000khash in ublock.
Thats a substantial grow. maybe fake, but jumped from 170 coins each day to 600 each day

lol - well, clearly then you were doing something wrong.

And forget hashrate anyway. There's no good way to measure hash with riecoin.

red... But you said in a previous post to use more mining power on uBlock than you used on RiePool. Also this is a fact... Then, anyway, each one is free of mining as he thinks more appropriate, we have always said this. Even if Solo miners could help the pools.....

I understand  if i was receiving 190 coins each day or even 200 250 with ublock. In this case i understand i need more days to have a better opinion.

But when you earn around 600 coins each day in ublock, and around 170 in riepool.... the facts are the facts

I didn't said xptminer2 reports better hashrates. I said exactly the opposite. So you can't report 100% the same thing.

Once and for all.... To effectively test multiple pools you need to have at least one month's test for each, so you will avoid the data being distorted by the marked fluctuation of the mining power on the pool and of the difficulty of the PoW itself.

for ziiip: Probably, towards the issue of code writing and the first tests, we will consider releasing the sources code, so you can give us a hand in the corrections of the case. We hope the performances are high (so it seems) and that in this way Riecoin can embrace more users than mine with the GPUs. Stay tuned  Cool

I don't know the performance from xptminer to xptminer2. But i tested both, xptminer2 in riepool, and xptminer in ublock. Definitely better profits in ublock. I transfered all my hashrate there.

I can 100% report the same thing - the closedsource xptminer2 on Riepool reports better hashrates than the opensource xptminer on ublock. But I did about 2 weeks on Riepool before growing frustrated that my own miners were solving blocks at a much higher rate than that at which I was getting rewarded. The difference was significant, too - not just a function of the margin of error. On ublock, even though the opensource miner reports much lower hashrates, I'm actually earning a great deal more, and my miners are getting rewarded appropriately for the number of blocks they solve. This leads me to believe that either the closedsource miner's hashrates are being artificially inflated or Riepool is suffering from too many block-withholding attacks.

i can confirm the same. i tested xtpminer2 at riepool for about two days.
despite the fact that it shows bigger hashrates the earnings are much less than ublock.it with xtpminer(1).
since it has been discussed here before i guess its because of the many block-withholding attacks.

Hi pallas, the code was completely revisited. No old bug but if users can test it is the best thing.
At moment I don't release the source until the miner is tested hard and all is good.

Hi Simba,
Are you going back on your promise to release the source code for your miner??
Please, let us know when the amazing code is ready for release . . .assuming you've had time to test it by now . . . .
Also please don't tell me your GPU code will be closed source as well Shocked I'll conclude you have no care for the community if that's the case Roll Eyes

people lets vote to get riecoin on altcoin.io exchange, decentralized with atomic swaps, what do you think?
https://feedback.altcoinexchange.com/suggestions/2135/add-riecoin
This currency needs more exchanges. It would be interesting to include Riecoin on relatively large platforms such as Bittrex, CEX.IO, YObit.

P.S. GPU RIC miner development is going forward  Cool

thanks for your answer !

No you can't. Its modified to only mine riepool.

You must to use dave-andersen xptminer from github, and compile it. I compiled it fine with primesieve libgmpxx and that stuff, but i couldn't for windows

Regards

does the hash rate actually differs if you use xtpminer2 ?

can you select a different pool except the one it has embedded in it?

thanks for your reply. i see.
what about the hash rate difference? is the xtpminer2 like 20% better than the xtpminer?
To test the two miners, just do it for both on RiePool and appreciates xptMiner 2.2 performance. For Intel i7 and Xeon CPUs the increase in computing power exceeds 20% compared to dga-c17 with Primesieve libraries.  Cool

For some time we are also working on a new miner for GPU but still in full phase of code writing and possible optimization. We will keep you up to date on development  Wink

AHAHAH this is beautiful! If I had all that power I used to use to make you more coins Huh?? ahahhaha mah!

You have to know that to accuse someone serving the tests, so good luck if you are looking for RiePool.......

Goodbye noob!

It does not generate more coins if blocks are withheld, please educate yourself on selfish mining. It only serves to hurt the pool and it's users.
For each block solved, he unfairly earns more coins, for this penalizes all other users.

yes, and the pool itself obviously  Roll Eyes no one said that the user account being exploited to launch the attack was at fault. It's also curious that the attacker only tried one worker account/password and guessed it on first try. Wonder who knew about that worker name and password  Huh

Yes, you're right. Maybe they tried with some and found.
Anyway thanks for the advice Simba.

Ok, so the attacker magically know my worker?  Cheesy Cheesy you're the only one who knows my worker, because i was on riepool, and i left to ublock.

Explain me that  Wink
But what are your workername and passwords? If you have put something like "jhon doe" or x.x it is clear that then the attacker try the correct one.
