Why are people giving up their private keys??

probably new. i also commit that same mistake when i was just starting to learn bitcoin. you have to consider Antshare has been promoted on the mainland china to which most of them aren't too aware of using these wallets.
what is the current height of block?
I'm a bit of a newb here and I've downloaded the wallet... but how do I get my ICO address into the wallet or how do I set this up?

The key is 52 characters. You should have copied and pasted.
I copy-pasted in to a .txt doc, enlarged the font and wrote it down on paper, twice, doublechecked, several times, deleted the .txt and then went on to wait for everything to be released.
I did all of this on the first day of the ICO.
