Update 3

We have been working for half a year, since then the main goal was to collect constructive criticism of the platform's work, what to improve, modify, develop, so that the user received a quality product. To motivate players to participate in product testing, tournaments and promos with prizes ranging from $500 to $ 2000 were held, during this time 520 people registered on the platform. People from completely different target audiences, and different levels of the game participated in CS: GO. Due to this we received criticism from different points of view, both beginners and professionals, it has become
clear what both of them need.


Rank system

Above all, it is important to introduce rank system, and distribute players depending on the level of the game in the corresponding leagues. It excludes the options when a weak player hits a strong one and starts to lose interest in the game, since there’s little chance to win. During the work of Betta many newcomers were registered, having participated several times in tournaments playing with strong players, they understood that there was no sense in continuing to play, and they stopped be active in the game. Having sorted the users according to the level of the game, their involvement and competitive effect will grow and the activity on the platform will accordingly increase.

 
Anti-cheats + GO TV

Next, it is necessary to install anti-cheats on the platform to quickly identify the player with an unfair game and put him on the blacklist. During the work of Betta, tournaments were held regularly (the basis of our marketing), we did not save on the prize money, which led to the desire of the players to use the codes for an easy victory in the tournament. Generally, cheating is one of the main problems that do not allow e-Sports to develop properly. Having explored the problem, we realized that the most effective solution at the moment is to integrate paid anti-cheat with continuous updating, and control of the players by platform administrators, through watching demo players. To do this, we will use GO TV, which will automatically record the user's demo game. The recording will be available right after the match, opponents and admins will have the opportunity to download the demo and explore the game. The recording will be automatically saved on the game server.


New game modes and maps

Everything is simple and easy: the more cards and modes the more interesting and fun, the variety and choice are always important. Server

Calculation module

Network Ether constantly releases updating, unfortunately this is not the case when the updating is simply automatically installed and everything works as before, in our case it is necessary to integrate the updating into the calculation module, which takes more time and money. We just need to prepare the system for the new modes, prescribe new algorithms. The calculation module is very important and should work without delays and errors. There is much work on Update 3, the implementation will take 2 months, and approximate release date is November 1, 2017. At the time of development, all tournaments and promos will be canceled. At this stage, the product is not ready for mass use, and spending money on tournaments in 1x1 mode is not effective. We are pleased to announce that we have finished working on the beta version of our platform — app.roundcoin.org. Initially we planned to include Dota, but after long discussions and debates we decided to start with Counter-Strike. We also would like to apologize for failing to inform the forum community about the development process. We just got so used to work for result and get feedback at least upon the release of beta version instead of shaking the air and boasting about how got its gonna get implemented. Beta Version is Now Ready


So, the beta is up and running and users can already enjoy Counter-Strike 1vs1 for Round tokens in the de_aztec map for 10/15 minute matches. Once the match is done the winner will immediately get payout form our ETH smart contract. Minimum bet is 10 Rounds. You need to have a Steam account and setup MetaMask wallet to be able to play. Ste-by-step Tutorial is enclosed. We tried to keep things user-friendly and as simple as possible. Current beta simultaneously supports up to 20-25 online matches and boasts the scale up capacity of up to 100+ games online.

We’ve spent lots of time studying marketing tricks for our project. We’ve studied the experience of successful startups in gaming and related industries. Now we are pleased to announce that we’ve found the perfect way to promote the project: the entire Round marketing effort will be built around Tournaments with a guaranteed prize pool. We offer weekly, monthly and annual main event tournaments. Please note that we – the developers – are in possession of 16% of the tokens released (160 millions). We also would like to inform that not all ICO funds have been spent, which gives us a great foundation for further work, improvements and updates.

Tournaments as the Core of Marketing


Now let’s talk in details about tournaments. From today onward we will hold $500 prize tournaments each Sunday; $5,000 prize tournament on the last day of each month and, finally, the main event of the year will take place on July 15, 2017 with the stupendous prize pool of $100,000  (equivalent in Round tokens; price is determinated 1 hours before the tournament). Selection of players will be based on a simple principle — TOP 64 based on the amount of Round tokens for weekly tournaments, TOP 128 for monthly and TOP 256 for the Main Event (we reserve the right to change only the selection terms, while guaranteed prize pools are not subject to any revision. For that purpose we are planning to create a smart contract or a separate account with a multi-signature and transfer tokens there).

We believe that the tournaments will be able to attract the critical mass of users to the project quite quickly. Gamers will be able to monetize their skills – which actually was our priority.

Plans for the Future

Now, some thoughts on the upcoming development plans. Firstly, we want to collect feedback from users, work on certain interface elements and test the platform in real-life conditions. Thereafter we want to grow our clientele and continuously work on improving the project (based on Counter-Strike experience):

continuous optimization and improvement of platform architecture.

And, last but not least, adding new games such as Dota, League of Legends, FIFA, and most importantly – new tournaments!



Technology

Based on Ethereum and being same as Firstblood such platform completely eliminates the dependence on third parties in determining the winner and paying the award in cybersports. The results will be processed quickly and securely. An interesting feature here is that the audience can bet on the outcome of games. Moreover, part of their bets will go to winner’s prize pool.
