We got it down to 5 by removing the built-in CPU miner, but that's the lowest it can go right now. And whatever is causing these 5 is core code, removing it would be like removing an engine from a car, so not really an option.

Just use the wallet without the CPU mining option.

By the way, is it still possible to mine using CPU now? as you said that you are removing something that are cpu mining related.

Yes. There are 2 versions of our Windows wallet, one with CPU mining and one without. That said, you don't have to use the built-in CPU mining in the wallet, you can use something like CPUminer instead.
