Yes, Artos seems to be actively working to improve the coin itself while the community works on the website and other similar matters. I think this is great and I see a great future for StableCoin. Furthermore, the mixing service is very promising. This is truly an undervalued coin at the moment and I have no doubt it will eventually explode!

Hmm, that's what everyone says about every altcoin. There are so many out there, hundreds now and there will be many more to come. Does SBC really stand out? I'm not sure.

Ahhh. Ok good. I was starting to sweat.  Grin

I am a Unity3D developer. I was pondering in the back of my mind making a game (perhaps a few eventually?) that uses SBC for micro-transactions. This is just speculative at this point, but would anyone else in the SBC community be interested in working on something like that?

I would be interested...but right now my programming knowledge consists of loops, if/else statements, arrays, and user-defined functions in C++.

Yesterday SBC was on coinmarketcap.com doing well.... today it seems to be gone... does anyone know why?

See here:
Why is SBC no longer listed on http://coinmarketcap.com/?
Seems like the blockexplorer is down, in which case the owner of the site temporarily removes the affected coin.

Where's the files I'll do it myself!

What if he never fixes the block explorer it's been days and I sent him a message like 4 days ago? For some reason he's spending all his time developing web sites and ignoring everything else. It's been frustrating!
artos is actually not working on websites, it's the community doing so. he's working on the coin. as far as I know he's also taking care of the block explorer. anyhow, let's look at getting one up and running, eh? several ones don't hurt either.

So did I. Since this thing is open source can't the community setup and host a block explorer without his help? If so where are the files I'll do it myself

Seems like Cryptsy is back up and running for Stablecoin I was able to make several purchases with no problems

I sent off a PM to @artos regarding the domain name I have (blockexplorer.io) and a willingness to donate the server(s) to the cause. I agree that the community should be involved but it doesn't hurt to have more than one block explorer but it's apparent that we need, at the very least, one blessed one that's working, stable and online. Willing to be there SBC but open to whatever the community desires.

I have requested that bter.com add SBC. Can a few more people also send polite requests?

Can someone tell me StableCoins Magic Protocol Number?
Address version would also be nice ^^

/E: Found it 0xfc, 0xc3, 0xb4, 0xda
0x7D or 0xFD for the address version. Pretty sure it's 0x7D.

0x7d is the right one, thanks !
Block Explorer should be up in a few hours or a day depending on how long the blockchain takes to be processes Smiley

Does anyone have a nice domain name ? Ip addresses are pretty but they dont really roll off the tongue Smiley

Sent a PM regarding domain name / server. Smiley

You need to fix the Block Explorer we can't trade or use our coins on Cryptsy because the Block Explorer no longer works. Also the coin was removed from coinmarketcap.com because the Block Explorer has been down for days!

Hello, I'm making a polish translation (I hope you're not mad for registering the domain by myself and copying the english website): http://stablecoin.pl/
Smiley
I'll add it shortly.

how about a Turkish one? Turkish cryptominers and exchangers are very active nowadays, there is a Turkish sub-forum in bitcointalk too. If you are going to add to your home page, I would gladly translate for Turkish too Smiley Downloaded files already, just poking me is enough

Hey kizilsakal, glad to hear that! If you provide a solid turkish translation, I'm sure it will be added. Wink
Yes.

If anyone's interested in translating, all the things we need translated are at http://stablecoin.net/download/translate.zip

Don't know if anyone saw this, but it can only accrue to the good of SBC and all crypto-currencies, if Wall Street puts it's imprimatur of approval on the BTC.

http://www.businessinsider.com/baml-initiates-coverage-on-bitcoin-2013-12

This pull back is only a readjustment of prices in response to China's move to ban BTC from their banking industry.  I'm still bullish on cryptos especially BTC, LTC, XPM, and (YAY!!!) SBC, of course. Grin

I had this question too. This link is for Bitcoin, but I believe the process is the same.

So I've been mining since about a week now. I started off with LTC, then did Middlecoin, but I've had my eyes on Stablecoin for about 5 days now and decided, this is the alt coin I want to support Smiley!

Just a quick, and most likely really nooby question, but what exactly are confirms? The CryptoCulture pool requires 35 confirms, but what are these and how do I figure out how many I have?

Hi, welcome to the team!  Smiley

I have a very rudimentary understanding of confirms, but from what I do understand, a confirm is something done naturally by the blockchain. As people download the blockchain, it helps confirm what transactions actually did and did not happen. A newly generated bitcoin requires 100 confirms that they were actually generated before they can be spent.

I'm probably not entirely accurate in this, but it is a basic concept. Confirms occur naturally and take a little bit of time for each one to complete.
