How to mine SCC - Quick guide:

1 - Download and install SCC core wallet or SCP walelt:

2 - Generate your SCC address
(it will be needed to paste it in mining software configuration)

3 - Download mining software:
FiroMiner https://github.com/firoorg/firominer/releases/latest
This version is only supporting NVIDIA GPU's for now, and users with NVIDIA GPU's may get a .dll missing error, to rectify please download latest CUDA Framework found below:

4 - Select one of mining pool supporting SCC mining

We've added StakeCube (SCC) to http://zpool.ca/algo/firopow. See below for connection details.

Fee only: 0.5% or less
BTC payouts are processed once a day for balances above 0.0015
Payouts for all other currencies are made automatically every 4 hours for balances above 0.05 and balances more than 0.0125 are included in one of the payouts each day.

SCC was POS in 2018/19/20 but changed to DASH codebase because of many exploits on PIVX chain.

The title says PoS/MN. Where is the PoS? It would have helped prevent this locked chain from occuring when the algo was switched.

Backwards Compatibility

SCC POW Algorithm Change
SCC Team is planning to change the POW algorithm for SCC from X11 to a GPU-based one. You can read more about these plans here:

In the end, SCC Team have decided on ProgPOW. The transition will take place in two stages:

At block 490,000, all clients that have not updated yet to the new version will be disconnected from the network.
At timestamp 1666350000 (Fri Oct 21 2022 11:00:00 GMT+0000), we will perform the switch to the ProgPOW algorithm

Though this is currently the plan, it could be subject to change if we find it necessary. PR to follow shortly. Precompiled versions will be released after final review by a minimum of two core developers and merged to the main branch probably around mid to end of next week.

Unfortunately, SCC has also been affected by the btc price in the market.
It is now $1.17 but also saw when SCC hit that $2 mark.
Do you have idea if they are going to list in other popular exchanges?

Been staking some coins on this site. And so far no problem encountered.
Withdrawal of coins is also fast even if they have notification that it may take 24hrs to process the request.

I have added this to my dedicated server, compiled it all fine, created the .conf but the daemon will no start ?

I have used sccd and sccd -daemon and it says server is starting but it hasn't.

Any ideas what may be going on ?

I can say you are right here. Most MN projects that we have seen are only pump and dump. They will sell MN, list in exchange, pumpndump, gone. Then, create another MN project. But this SCC project has their platform active and open for users who want to stake or earn interest for some coins available in the market. The SCC itself is growing its price, however, are they going to list this coin in a much bigger exchange to increase its trading volume?

So after all this time I just found out about StakeCubes web miner to mine SCC. I have received several shares already and like to know, do I need to reach 1,000 shares before I receive a payout? I don't have a powerful computer so I'm only averaging 2 to 3 shares per hour and only mine a few hours a day so it will take some time if I need to reach 1,000 shares before I receive a payout.

Yes the exchange is still there and running. It has just been update to V3. Click on your wallet tab at the top and you will see a drop down menu and slect exchange.

I will say that I like the new features StakeCube have released recently especially the MineCube, I really like the new look and how it shows the stats for how much we have spent on workers and how much we have earned through mining.
