cryptzo can you help me bought some coins in the ICO and got the recieving only wallet tried to download the wallet from your website and it will not open

Delete everything in your %appdata%/seedcoin folder EXCEPT for your wallet.dat and try reopening the wallet. Back up your wallet.dat file to a safe place before you do anything for safety.

So is new wallet good to install now or not?

This.  And if it is not, REMOVE IT FROM THE OPENING POST.

Which wallet should I be using? and if its the old one does anyone have the rar password?

I'm running the new wallet fine, with coins that would be staking with the new code that takes effect 17 hours from now, but currently are not staking at all

(sorry, my time estimate earlier was wrong. My head is spinning right now trying to bring everything back under control, the change happens in 17 hours, not 14 as I previously said - that was based on the launch time I still have stuck in my head).

Ok, doublechecked the wallet. It's working 100% perfectly, assuming your clock is set correctly.  Everyone, please make absolutely sure that your clocks are properly set. Staking is a time based thing, not a block based one.

You need to have your time set properly, or you cannot stake!

Please make sure your time zone is set properly, and that your time is 100% accurate. If you can't, or don't know how to do that, just keep your wallet closed for 15 hours.

If you must use your wallet, get a copy of the old one if you still have it.

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=what+time+is+it

With that said, I'm not entirely sure that this is the problem, as when I set my time ahead to when the change takes effect - my wallet clearly warns me that my time is wrong.

The new one seems safe to use. We did some investigation and it seems the old wallet often is ~1 block back, but the block hashes eventually match.

I have deleted my previous posts about the virus. It was my mistake as I was a bit confused.
Thanks for clarifying and again, I am sorry.

The wallet should not be having *any* effect yet. If you are staking now when you weren't before, and trying to get everyone else to do it, you're forking the network and ruining the coin. STOP. Close your wallet right now if it says your weight is suddenly 1000x higher than it was before.

Fixed it for you.

I have just sent the NEW wallet on virustotal and it seems completely clean.
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/fafb7e5bb05ce352a4590a22bb442f312cca9435381d4ca566c1e906a774a5ab/analysis/1412664492/

I am sorry for the mess.
It was the same link as sumgye sent 3 days ago and people were claiming it's a virus.
I don't know . . .

It was the password protected self extracting archive. Look up what the hits were for. They are all consistent with that type of file.

False positives.

Sorry I fell asleep guys. I've been going for days. Hang on I'm going to have a look. It sounds like I might have accidentally left a if (true) in the posted wallet code. Having a look now. Staking should not be doing anything different for almost another 14 1/2 hours.

Dev! Hurray!

Go get'em!!

on the other hand, the previous zipped wallet was 23mb, the new one is 9mb  Roll Eyes

10 and 10.

Also, the very first wallet was a password protected self extracting archive. The password protected self extracting part is probably what caused the flags in the virus detection. Run the file that resulted from the extraction if you want to check for viruses.

You are now officially a troll.

no virus on my end, even after deep scan. exactly what virus does it contain?

There was no virus. When the coin first launched, someone made a clone thread, with a wallet and a virus. That is obviously causing some confusion here.
