updating now, will post back once it's done.

Don't do it.

The new wallet is forking the network all to hell.

This isn't fud. I'm on a team tracking this right now.

But seriously, dev, you need to put out a wallet with version numbers PRONTO!

It's only 18.5 hours until the new staking rules kick in.

At that point, a fork *will* happen. If 51% aren't on the new wallet it's going to get ugly and the coins will get cheap.

We need to put pressure on the dev to get a wallet out with version numbers.

This isn't a volunteer effort. This was an ICO.

Is 2 seedcoin in a block stake more than 1 seedcoin in a block?

is that how it works?

They stake at the same interest rate. So if you stake for one day at 269% interest (as will be the case in a few days), you'll earn 2.69 coins on the one you staked. If you have 2 coins, it would be 5.38 coins earned. The input of 2 coins would mint a little faster than the input of 1 coin because the input of 2 coins would have twice the weight.

if youd like use me type this in the console "addnode=oz3tA$v7@d92PxfJ4%9f addnode" without quotes. that should add my wallet lets try and strengthen the staking part of the network
doesn't work

Method not found (code -32601)

In the console, it would be

Code:
addnode 99.236.215.227

Updated wallet still shows version number from previous wallet..v1.0.0.0... htf does one know which wallet they have?Huh lol becoming sketchy now.

Not sketchy, but it does need to be fixed.

The dev is on line.

Mandatory Wallet Update
Please Update Before Tuesday 11:59 PM UTC

https://www.dropbox.com/s/21yccfxu0njdxid/seedcoin-qt.zip?dl=0

Changes to the staking system will take effect at that time.

This applies to everyone, including pools and exchanges. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Github Source has been updated.

Thank you in advance for your understanding!
Just to let everyone know, if you update your wallet now it will generate a lot of 'staked blocks' that won't be accepted.  Don't worry about it right now since you have an updated wallet and the network changes don't go live until the date above.

Edit:  I have 7 staked but not accepted blocks also.  It'll clear up after 8pm EST tomorrow when the network changes go in effect.

I've managed to stake twice now since wallet update but neither have been accepted yet.  Anyone else?

I will let some more time pass to see if there is some accepted just wanted to ask.

Update-
Now staked 4 and all have failed...  Anyone else no longer accepting stake?

i have staked 5 times with none accepted

Yes. But people with more coins will have a significant advantage, and during the latest round of testing it became clear that that advantage becomes more pronounced as the week progresses. The more coins you have, the more weight you have, the more weight you have, well... weight in staking is basically your hashrate. So the more you have, the easier it will be.

With that said, people with small numbers of coins ( on the order of .01 ) will be able to stake, it will just be very very difficult to do so.

The answer is to buy MOAR coins.

does this allow staking for smaller amount of coins?

Yes. But people with more coins will have a significant advantage, and during the latest round of testing it became clear that that advantage becomes more pronounced as the week progresses.
