so i did a test. after 9 days this is my paying (so you can make an idea of pools pay rate):
  • cn pool - 0.5 sem for just 30 votes. and they pay every single day. i will vote them more
  • all animals (https://semux.info/pool) - 8.25 with 750 votes. they are the most transaprent, you know exactly how much you'll get and every single day
  • lvl3pool - 3.28 with 30 votes. they forgot to pay a period of time, but i'm ok with how much i received Smiley i'll vote more
  • semuxpoolcom - pay around 0.10-0.15 a day, each with 50 votes, every day
  • mddsemuxpool - payed twice, probably 2 times a week, around 0.5 each time for 50 votes; i'll join the second pool too
  • semuxpoolparty pay different all the time, between 0.13 and 0.36 each day for 100 votes; i'll probably remove some votes from them
  • poolborderline payed twice, maybe they pay 2 times a week too, 0.2 and 0.13 for 30 votes
  • i removed all my votes from general pools. THEY NEVER PAID in more than a week (with 100 votes). f**k em

i'll join the other pools 100_tokenpar_com, Tent ,Tiger, Dragon and see the results after a week or so.
From 100_tokenpar_com got around 0.12-0.19 daily with 68 votes.

With small quantities you need to take into account the minimum payment and transfer fees, you can't compare pools after some paid and others didn't but with pending balance on your favor Wink

Hello Friends,

I have 250 Semux for personal pool voting. Please message.

I think personal voting interest in 5-10k votes. And 250 votes is better to place to public pool

There were a few missed payments today due to instability of the signature checking script. Another payment just went out.
Thank you sir,i have found my name finally, well done!

Wow, I got a much bigger reward this week than usual for the signature campaign. Did something change in the rules?
Ya you benefits from new bounty
Just see page 1
Legendary, hero senior got higher share than before

Old signature bounty:

New signature bounty:

Full Member: 2

Hero Member: 8
Legendary:  16

Thank for your clearly comparison. I don't agree with the new reward bounty. Hate to say that similar with the sentence "Rich people maintain richer, poor people will be poorer forever".

the original problem remains the same:
rich getting richer
poors stay poor.

like smart people getting smarter, but stupid hold their level...

There are tons of opportunities out there to gain coins for almost every chain... work with the devs, don't just post some posts on the forums... Long term members are deeper into this, getting more - so become a long term member yourself, and earn more, too. That's not that hard - not as hard as actually working... you know

you can still report Bugs on GitHub - earn bounties for it!
The bounty is for everyone - regardless his money or post count...
so find bugs, report them, gain money.
Learn to code - there are tons of free tutorials, dig into new projects and help - instead of complaining that wearing a signature doesn't make you insta-rich

Hi,I have found some bugs and report thoes bugs on github, but i did not get any bounties.Did you get bounties?

as i don t really understand how this is working

thanks

Only validators can add blocks to the chain. To become a validator, you need two things:
1. Become a delegate - to become one you have to burn 1000 SEM. those burned SEM are gone for ever and you can't get them back.
2. Gather enough votes for your delegate. Only the top 100 voted delegates become validators.

Currently about 33k votes are required to get into the top 100, but this number increases over time. If you don't have enough SEM to vote for yourself, you will need other people to vote for you. To encourage others to vote for you, you can share the block rewards with them - in other words, become a pool. Once someone votes for you, the amount of SEM he voted is locked, however, at any given time he can unvote you and unlock it.
Here is a list of the current operating pools and their fees: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.29319963.
If you need help setting up a pool, or have any more questions you are welcome to join the Discord channel.
So if it happens that only few voted on you and you did not get on the top 100 means you just burned 1000 semux, top 100 delegate have the ability to forge blocks and with that every voters and forger will earn from the transaction fee.

thank you

but i still don t get on how you earn anything?

I made an inspection about pools and making a post about them:

Signing up mandatory pools:

Currently, only pool asks for signing up is the Animal pool. Voters share the all pool income. https://semux.info/pool
They are taking %25 for a fee.

Anonymous pools:

General 01-02-03-04 they are all individual pools and the fee they are taking %20 (%18 for themselves %2 donate to the developer of the pool manager.)
Semuxpool_com and Semuxpool_com2 are taking %20
Mddsemuxpool - Mddsemuxpool2 are taking %20
Semux_pool_party are taking %8
100_tokenpar_com is currently only giving %0.5 to semux dev and share the rest of it.
Pool_borderline is taking %6.3 (%6 for himself, %0.3 for the developer of the pool)
lvl3pool is taking %6

pool: dragon tiger tent night

fee:5%

minimum payout:0.5

payout time: UTC 12:00

Pools unknown:

cn_pool i think it is Chinese and requirements are unknown.
There is not any information about.

I think even with the 1000 delegator fee, above %15 is too much and I'm not voting for them. Probably they will take lower fees when they get 1000 back but still, it is high.

When voting put this %'s into consideration.

If a pool has 30.000 votes but takes %25 as a fee means it has 40.000 votes. So even 39.000 votes pool with %0 fees would be better.

Ps: If anyone has some information about cn_pool please let me know and I can edit the post. I tried to find out their fee from the share they give out but couldn't be sure.

One way to make your delegate productive is to have it as a public pool so other can vote for you and in turn you share the rewards. Download the pool software below and set lower than  most pool fee. Then visit discord to announce your pool to get more votes and make it as validator

thanks buddy for your complete description, but i have a question, those burned coins will be deducted from coin supply ? it will be saved somewhere ?
with so many delegates registered, i think few thousands of coin supply should have been deducted by now

Yes, burned coins are deducted from the circulating coin supply, so each new delegate reduces the supply of available coins. You can see exactly how many coins have been burned, and other statistics on semux.info. Right now there are 120,000 burned coins - 0.12% of the total supply.

Good source of coin supply statistics:

http://semuxchain.info/stats

Burned coins are deducted from the supply, as well as coins held in the foundation, community and dev funds.
The remaining is shown as locked and available coins in circulation .

Currently:
Locked supply in circulation: 3,499,088 SEM.
Available supply in circulation: 1,183,807 SEM.

February 05, 2018, 12:08:53 PM

yes i m in one pool and voted 100 semux for one validator and voted the rest for me

but i still don t get how we mine/earn from it?

what is the purpose of bein delegates and spending 1000 sem for it?

I believe you need to be in the top 100 vote getters to be a validator.

You can use your remaining SEM to vote for one of the top validators (for example, pool_borderline), and everyday, you will get paid.

Outside of the top 100 which I think is your current position, I'm not sure what are the benefits of being a delegate. Perhaps some others can help.

The only benefit to being a delegate is the ability to become a validator. There is no other reason to burn 1000 SEM to become a delegate.

The "Register as delegate" field in the wallet should probably be moved to another location in the wallet to help prevent mistakes like this from happening. Currently it is directly below the frequently used voting fields. Now that mainnet has launched most of the delegates that will ever register have likely done so (unless the validator limit is increased above 100). The delegate option in the wallet may only be used a few more times in the history of Semux, and so could be put in a less visible location.

edit: actually now that I think about it, we could still see more than a few delegate registrations under certain scenarios.
